The new downtown location of CCB is wonderful. The coffee drinks are awesome and the buns are just as delicious as ever, if not more so. The BBQ pork bun (Char siu bao) is everything it should be and the owner and the staff are really nice and friendly.
I visited for the first time this morning and bought two of their melon breads. Omg I have never in my life had such a delicious pastry! The top was little bits of sweet cookie dough that I broke off first to eat a sweet little surprise. Then the bun itself was just buttery all the way through and it has a hint of saltiness that cuts through the cookie topping wonderfully. I will definitely be back to try more pastries I’m wanting to try the egg tarts next!
I was so happy when I read that this place was open. I was able to stop in and grab a couple of pastries for. The egg tart and red bean bun were awesome. I Hope this little Asian bakery will be a downtown gem for years to come.
Excited to support a local bakery that brings back childhood memories! Friendly shop with fresh buns that are served daily. There is a wide range of buns, whether you want something sweet or savory. Different types of coffee are also served, which is something I look forward to as well. Highly recommend if you want a quick stop or to sit inside to study and eat.
I love this place. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious, and the coffee (Rothrock!) is also tasty--advice: try the rose latte! The workers are also very kind and helpful. Absolutely give them a visit!
