Northern Light Espresso Bar and Cafe

A comfortable small business place that is great for all ages, mostly young adults. Wonderful selection of beverages and foods. Beautiful atmosphere. Wonderful staff that are incredible at their jobs and beyond. Great location in center of scranton.

Great coffee with beans from Gimmie! Coffee and some local roasters. Can't vouch for all of their food, but their cookies are massive and tasty.
The place does tend to get a bit crowded, but that's not a negative -- just a testament to their customer base.

Great cafe with a great selection. Sometimes a little bit too crowded for a place to relax; I usually retreat to the second level. Love that they hang works by local artists on the walls. Café arabica is my favourite poster though

The decor and atmosphere has changed a tiny bit since the decade I’ve been going here, but it’s still the best place to sit down, sip a coffee, and catch up with your friends in Scranton!

Coffee is fantastic! Staff is very friendly. This place attracts a large college crowd who are usually busy on their laptops. Upstairs is generally quiet & cozy. Couches & coffee tables

I got a double latte, which I get everywhere always. It was undrinkable. The bitterness made me squench my face. Also we tried to order a breakfast burrito, and their microwave broke. "It worked before you got here." I'm not sure how we we're supposed take that. Next time I will find a Starbucks even though I would always prefer local.

Always nice staff. Delicious coffee, hot cocoa, and pastries. I especially love coming during the winter and playing chess or another board game upstairs.

By far, this is my favorite hang out spot in Scranton. The atmosphere is great, and the owners and staff are super friendly. I’ve been going to Northern Light for years. It has yet to disappoint!

Cool cafe spot but a bit loud with the college students spending more time chit chatting than studying 😊 guess to be expected in a college town. My wife enjoyed her iced mocha latte and I enjoyed the vanilla/chocolate latte.

The best coffee. I like drinking brewed coffee black to savor the flavor. The Damiani blend they brew is my favorite. The interior is interesting but the service was average.
