What a great experience. We had some disappointing coffee elsewhere in town so finding a real barista who grasps the science/art of espresso drinks was a relief. We❤️you, Northern Lights. Thank you for being a nice part of our morning. XO

Isn't it so cute! Love the name and the ambience and atmosphere are very serene. Super homie cafe and these people can custom make me whatever I want. 😊 Oh, they have fresh oolong! The staff here always makes me feel so very welcomed❣🤗❤

Great atmosphere, comfortable setting, I had a macchiato (this is one of the only places near by who do a true macchiato) I would give it an 8 out of 10, perfectly made with great ratio but was not as smooth as it should have been. Also had a fruit parfait which was excellent and fresh. Highly recommend this place for good drinks and a relaxing atmosphere or just to grab and go.

Baristas were not friendly but to be fair, the drinks and food we got were really, really good. Youre there for a product, not to make a cool new friend. Like, I mean really tasty... Tasty enough that I would go back again. My partner and I are from the west where generally people see sunshine and don't resent their lives so much, so maybe we're just sensitive to the general vibe of anger in the north east. I would say definitely go, just don't expect anyone to smile at you.

This is a must stop coffee shop in Scranton. Every table inside is painted differently and full of color. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
The cold coffee and breakfast burrito were absolutely delicious. Service was great too!

I paid $7 for a dirty chai latte and couldn't taste the espresso. I've never paid that much, even at cafe's in more expensive cities. It's disappointing, especially since I'm a student in the area and had hoped to frequent the cafe.

Best coffeehouse in Scranton, bar none! Great owners, atmosphere, service, and food (breakfast and pastry selections in additions to salads and sandwiches). As far as drinks...the best selection of coffee & teas (best chai in Scranton) in the area. I've been going to Northern Light for many years. It's my favorite place to go in Scranton!

They serve amazing coffee. Nice quiet place, great lunch type of foods and desserts. Like what Starbucks should really be.

UNCLE GERRY’S TIP: Bring a pound home, and use a french press to make some top-notch coffee and always grind your own beans.

One of the few coffee shops I could find in the area. The staff were super nice and the wifi was fast -- made a great place for me to wait at. Food was alright but the coffee is amazing compared to anything else you would get in the area. Would recommend having meeting a friend or having lunch here.

I had a espresso it was the worst I ever had. I understand not every teen employee can make a coffee, but when he showed and told her manager she looked over at me and did not try to make amends just ignore us, my group was there for 10 minutes after. It gave her plenty of time to come over.
