Northern Light Espresso Bar and Cafe

Very cozy environment and delicious drinks!

I was impressed by the interior decor and atmosphere of Northern Lights Cafe, but the food choice and quality left me disappointed.
None of the ingredients appear to be locally sourced and taste rather bland, as if they were sourced from a generic grocery store. Sandwiches and salads for sale are small portion sizes and priced six dollars and up, which seems too expensive for the quality provided.
Overall a nice cafe to visit if you are more interested in the atmosphere than the quality of food.

*It should be noted that the coffee was above average in flavor, although- again- overpriced.

Really enjoyed this place. The quiche and coffee were delicious. Cozy and artsy atmosphere. The staff was friendly and it was nice to hear them greeting regulars by name.

I love this place. The staff are just wonderful. They know my order befor I even say it. The coffee is outstanding. They serve a light fare for breakfast and lunch. Lots of pastries and bagels, but they also have soup and salads, sometimes sandwiches or wraps, and quiche. My favorite salad is the Hummus Platter. They also have free WiFi and plenty of plugs, so I have been known to sit for hours with my laptop working or writing or doing homework. It's just a wonderful, comfortable place.

Always liked this place. I pretty much stop here for breakfast whenever I'm in town. The coffee is always good and prices are reasonable. They also have these little protein pucks they sell (think locally made Cliff bar that is not mass produced). I usually buy 1 or 2 of those when I'm here for a snack later in the day.

The coffee is great, the smoothie (strawberry banana w/ oatmilk) was delicious. The staff is kind and the environment is cozy and comfortable. Definitely coming back!

I usually stop here every year when I’m in town. They have great tasting coffee. However, the service is horrible and rude. I stopped there around 10am Sunday morning on 7/23. I heard them making fun of customers because they wanted flavoring in their coffee. “Coffee is coffee”. You are a speciality coffee shop! I also heard them using foul language referring to a customer as a b****. I asked a question, a basic question, he was extremely rude. I honestly have never seen such a poor attitude towards customers. It’s a shame because I love a great cup of coffee. The coffee is good, but I don’t feel like waking up, and dealing with such negativity- not a happy start to the day. If the staff feel they are too good for their jobs perhaps they should work somewhere else.

I really enjoy the vibe of this place - very cozy and cool. What I like is that you'll see college students writing papers sitting next to businessmen in suits reading the paper and everything inbetween.
While I'm not a big fan of the coffee here, I'll stop in for a latte every so often, because they're done right. Do not miss out on the cookies - they are delicious!

Excellent coffee shop. Staff very friendly. Had the cappuccino and it was great. Breakfast burrito was pre packaged but once heated up was still really good. Prices very reasonable as well.

Imagine Starbucks. Imagine even more hipster-y hipsters that are "too cool" for Starbucks. That's basically what this place is for. I had their vanilla chai latte and a chocolate cookie with my girlfriend here and it was excellent.
The ambiance is cozy, reminds me of home. There's even an upstairs seating area with a couch and a chess game.
Cookie we had was big and chewy and just really good. Drinks were good too. Very enjoyable experience. 5/5
