The Steeping Leaf

What a wonderful place! I highly recommend this place. My wife and I were visiting briefly in the area for a wedding and decided on this place. So glad we went out of our way to here. It seemed like it was managed directly by its owners since the people had so much care and attention when serving us.

What a great little tea house! This place has over a hundred different kinds of tea and the best food I've had since moving to Pittsburgh three years ago. The couple who own The Steeping Leaf are from Switzerland and Germany and the European influence is very noticeable, especially in the high quality of the food. Today on my first visit I had the cabbage and bacon quiche, which was fantastic, and I also had an amazing scone. For those of us who prefer coffee over tea, they have espresso and can make latte and cappuccino. After tea and food, gelato is the perfect dessert, and they have a dozen different flavors. I would give The Steeping Leaf ten stars if I could!

This sweet place looks small but has a pretty large dining area, plus outside seating and a back patio for privacy. The teas are beautifully blended and the pastries are delicious. The greenery and plants/flowers are such a beautiful touch to the ambiance. Absolutely excellent service and such a gorgeous area. Has nice parking and is quiet and serene for having a cup of tea and a chat in the afternoon. Will definitely be returning ❤️

I took my 4 and 6 year olds for afternoon tea. The tea was delightful and the food was yummy. Staff was helpful and friendly. The shop was clean and had very nice deor. We highly recommend and will be back.

Our food and drinks were delicious, and the service was incredible! I'll come back every time i am in town for sure! I had the London fog to drink and a deconstructed veggie wrap. It was out of this world!

I would like to start out by saying that I have been coming to the Steeping Leaf since last October and absolutely fell in love with it. I typically come in twice a week and sometimes more. Aside from their impressive, high quality tea selection that I absolutely cherish they have the best food that is both healthy and ridiculously satisfying. I never feel sick or guilty when I leave The Steeping Leaf because the owners only use the best ingredients in all of their menu items. The pastries are even healthy! I highly recommend the mango matcha iced latte. It is heavenly!! The pear brie flatbread, veggie quinoa wrap and decadent strawberry French toast are some of my favorites. The gelato is out of this world and comes in many delectable flavors. I also want to note the EXCEPTIONAL customer service that every single person receives from the moment they walk in. The owners (Judith & Guido) are the kindest, hardest working people I know. They have truly created what I consider to be a hidden gem in south fayette. The Steeping Leaf will exceed your expectations in every way. It is so many good things all in one place. I will never buy loose leaf from anywhere else again because theirs is simply the best. If you haven’t checked this place out yet you don’t know what you are missing. I am so grateful for the Steeping Leaf and all that it has to offer. I wish more places made healthy, delicious food like they do! This will always be my favorite place. I also can’t forget to mention how clean and beautiful all the decor is. Amazing atmosphere!

Absolute gem! A nice selection of teas and food. Everything is fresh and light - Perfect for bunch. There's a large patio with comfortable seating and plenty of plants. Cute decor and a small selection of gifts.

Staff are wholesome and welcoming. It's worth making the trip to visit.

Amazing cafe and tea room. The inside is spacious and cozy and there is a lot of outdoor seating as well. We ordered multiple wraps which are large, fresh, and delicious. The root vegetable chips are a lovely compliment. The food was so incredible that we returned the next day! We met the owner who was very nice! Support local!
