Warm and Cozy
The Steeping Leaf is a comfortable tea and coffee shop perfect for a quick bite, a warm drink with a friend, or a place to stay and read or work for a little while. Many varieties of tea and other hot or cold drinks as well as pastry and other snacks. It has a beautiful ambiance and I loved the real flowers most.

Nestled alongside a nondescript community, this little spot can be easily missed and that would be a shame. While it appears to be mainly a tea shop with retail sales and the like, they also feature a very nice menu for breakfasts and lunches. We came across it pretty much accidentally while looking around for places nearby.
The only sign that this is some sort of retail establishment is the outdoor sign, so be on the lookout for it, or you will miss it. Either that, or use your GPS to find it. The interior is bright, airy and cheerful with lots of tongue in cheek posters revolving on the tea theme. There is both indoor and outside seating. What you do is grab one of their menus, decide on your drink, food, or both. Provide your order at the counter and pay for it. They give you a little metal number and deliver your order to your table.
On weekends, their menu is much more limited than their weekday menu -which I found to be backwards, but that’s the way they operate. We tried three different Panini sandwiches as well as two iced teas since it was hot on the day we visited. We also stayed indoors as it was air conditioned! Drinks were delivered by one of the women who took our order while the food was delivered by Guido – who was working the kitchen.
We tried the Roasted veggie, Salami, and Turkey Paninis. Two of them with their sides of chips and one of them with their house salad. All were very tasty. There was no choice of dressing for the salad and while it was overdressed, the dressing was quite good. Total bill for the three sandwiches and two iced teas was $44.
They also offer gelatos and pastries. In addition, look carefully around you. There are surprised hidden in all kinds of unexpected places! :-)

First time here. Won’t be last. This place is so cute and clean inside and charming outside. I’m not a huge tea drinker but enjoyed mango tea, with a tropical-inspired panini, and both were delicious. The chef would brought our lunches out was friendly and accommodating. The gelato flavors were many and equally tasty. This is a neighborhood gem. I’ll go back for sure.

Absolutely incredible little place. Food was delicious and their fruit and smoothies were about as fresh as they come.
Recommended to bring a book or something to read and relax while here.

I actually found out about this place from someone at my church, so I came with my mom to try it out!
To start, I am not a tea fan, but the iced tea here was amazing. I got the Passionfruit Herbal, and my mom got the Fruity Fruit. Both were naturally sweet tasting, very fresh, and we decided to buy some tea to make at home.
Don't worry they have coffee and things for kids to drink too :)
We also stayed for lunch and got a roasted veggie panini, and a chicken salad wrap. Both were very fresh and tasty, and the menu is fairly large so there are other great options to try.
They also have Gelato which is seriously just as good as what I had in Italy from a past trip, so getting to see they had Gelato was special since thats not as common in the US.
They also have a small retail section with tea items such as cute cups, tea to buy, merch, and more.
The biggest thing to note about here is that the parking isn't the best, but the building is very nice with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor on the porches, inside is a renovated house with everything modern and brand new. There's a lot of seating inside and everything is very crisp, modern, and clean.
I heard they do a brunch on the weekends and host a tea party, so im 100% going to look into those, and hopefully be back very soon to try more tea and menu items :)

Wow! Don’t miss this place if you’re in the Pittsburgh area! The food is top notch, especially the paninis and gelato! The interior is very inviting and it’s such a nice place to spend time either with friends and family or on your own. The gift shop is also well stocked with unique items. Hope to visit again sometime!

Got the Mediterranean salad - it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Brie and pear flatbread was also very good. Cool little place!!
Update - went back - employees seemed confused and unmotivated. Order was messed up and didn’t make much effort to fix it. The food has gone downhill too.
Please bring back the quality!

We had our daughter's 10th birthday party there and it was absolutely fantastic. It was whimiscal, elegant, fun, & classy! The girls (and my son) had a blast making crafts, playing games, listening to music. and having a "grown up" tea. The decorations were incredible & fit the Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter tea party theme perfectly. The food was delicious and again fit the theme perfectly.
The owner & staff couldn't have been warmer or more inviting. The place was charming, impeccably clean, and we didn't have to do a thing but show up & attend the party.
I would love to go back and check out the main place downstairs. Their menu looks great and they cater to all kinds of diets.
What nice people & a great business!
