Symposium Coffee

The hours are really odd for a Sunday... It's a coffee shop and some Sunday mornings I don't want to cook, so I wish this place was open, but they don't open until 2p. Aside from that, the coffee and food here is great, even though the options are limited. They also have alternative milks, which is nice. The staff are always friendly. Outdoor seating is sparse and every time I've been, the indoor seating is limited also.

Love this little hidden gem. Cozy, artisan coffeehouse is not something I picture when I think about Tigard, but these folks have it nailed. Quality drinks and food, friendly service, convenient location. A well-earned five stars.

Their cardamom lattes are unique and delicious. They have become a really special treat. Symposium is one of my favorite places to have coffee with others.

I like their Tigard location better. Though it is much more dark, it seems bigger and easier to navigate. The stairs in Sherwood are challenging for me.I realized today that I may like Tigard better, because I've spent so much more time there.

Why are they discontinuing the old logo??? I like it so much and I've wanted stickers with it for a long time. Please reconsider this choice.

Pricey. The coffee is fine, just expensive. There’s one option for a breakfast sandwich, it’s $11.75, which is WAY overpriced for a bland and overly salty basic sandwich. I’ve had much better food from Portland hipster coffee shops with more options (for less money even!). I don’t mind paying a decent price for decent food, but this wasn’t.

No public restrooms. While the counter area has your typical hipster coffee shop vibe, the rest of the place doesn’t exactly have a clean, modern feel. Old, outdated and slightly shabby furniture, flooring, paint, etc. that don’t contribute to the vibe and could use a facelift. For the prices I would expect better.

People working there were nice, and quick service.

Love the iced mocha.. The artwork is really worth checking out! Very open and airy environment... Its next to a great little outdoor museum about Tigard and the people who have made this place great.. I highly recommend stopping in for a cup and a chat

I love the coffee, the breakfast sandwiches are really good. The outdoor seating is great for sipping and people watching, close to the trail. A $1.50 for milk upgrade is a little steep though.

Always quick service love their coffee and scones. This morning I had the Croissant sandwich for breakfast and it was delicious! Really hit the spot, and made with love. I like the classic rustic atmosphere, plenty of room, free WiFi and it's always clean.

Adorable cafe with good coffee and a ton of sitting room. And I mean a ton, the place is always busy but the back rooms make it so you'll always have somewhere to sit.

Their hot coffee is okay, but I really love their cold brew. I get cold brew almost every time I'm here.

Awesome little coffee spot with one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! Get the Turkey, bacon, egg, and cheese croissant and you will be in heaven! Great service with a friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful and quaint cafe in downtown Tigard, lots of activity and bustle on the street as there is a bike-way and pedestrian path right next to the building. The milk of my hot chocolate was over steamed but I didn't say anything, I should have asked for it to be tepid (drinkable temperature). The bread is baked at the Sherwood location and is a real treat, I highly recommended it. I think that they should consider changing their name to Symposium Coffee And Bread, (or Symposium Coffee And Bakery). Great experience!
