Love this place! Yummy Turkish Coffee. Perfect chai. Love the greek salad - the herbs on it are so good. Lovely people who work here - my regular order is always remembered by the hostess before I even say it out loud. Great place to study - easy to find a table, especially during the day, good ambient noise, good music (including live music such as the jazz club that sings there every other weekend). Wonderful community spot. So sad that I've moved away from the area - this was a favorite haunt of mine. Whenever I have to go into the city, I try and stop by here as a treat and to say hello and catch up with those working there.

Went here with a very close friend of mine who is friends with the owner (who also seemed like a very cool guy). Food was excellent, same as the beverages. Is my first experience sitting down in a café with a laptop like a true millennial. Thank you all for this experience and also the service was very friendly.

This is a lovely mom and pop cafe. They do not sell any alcoholic beverages here but they have a large selection of drinks and snacks. I visited this location to see a friend play in her band. The stage is small and the crowd packs the place. It was an enjoyable experience and moving around was not a problem. I plan on coming back and trying more snacks.

This cafe has great coffee and food. And, it has so much more. It's the best place in town to meet someone new and interesting. It's also open late which is a huge bonus considering the great neighborhood its nestled in. Try the chocolate cake and belly dancing.

Really chill vibe with great coffee and food. It's rare to find a place so un-pretentious in PDX. Staff is always really friendly and welcoming.

Edit (2019):
Still absolutely loving this place. I'd like to add that I've found their cappuccinos are some of the best in town, and thats saying something! Even as staff come and go the ladies behind the counter are always the nicest. Love you guys!

Very friendly service and lots of table space to work. The panini is delicious! ! The only thing that could be better is if that really loud cooler was not on. It drones, which made me a little anxious at first but I got used to it. I'd enjoy the atmosphere a lot more if it was not on.

I've been going to Marino's for years and it still continues to grow on me, each visit to the coffee shop is better than the one before. The atmosphere, the customer service and of course, the coffee and food, is just all so great.
The place has a lot of personality and will not be like any other place you've been to before. There's a stage inside for music/belly dancing events (there are albums inside too, if you want to look at past events). Many of the pastries/cakes are made by the gals that work there. The panini's are delicious, too. The whole interior of the shop is cozy and relaxing.
The owner, Dario, greets every single individual that comes in and treats them like family. As a result, this is how all the workers treat customers as well. It's a beautiful thing to see.
As a longtime fan of Marino's, this place has done a great job of serving up some great coffee and food and creating a comfortable and fun place for people to come together. You will always see people sitting outside, especially in the evening time (the late hours are another bonus) sipping on coffee and having a great time.
I would highly recommend.
