I've been going there since 2008. It's timeless! The food and coffee are wonderful.

Wow. What do I even say? This place is amazing. The owner, Dario, is one of the most friendly and genuine people you'll ever meet. He made our mochas so perfectly. The coffee is excellent and he made sure the sweetness was customized for each of us. We went at 10:30pm and the place was full of friendly people of all ages and from an array of countries. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, welcoming and with an eclectic vibe that is perfectly Portland. It was a joy to find such a bright spot.

I like to hide here, with a good book. Been my go-to the last few weeks. Even their Beetlejuice inspired bathroom is cool.

Lovely experience coming to this little Cafe. It's my first time visiting Portland and the beautiful state of Oregon. Randomly decided to look up Turkish Coffee in the area and decided on Marino Cafe. Everything was delicious, the Turkish Coffee was AMAZING, and the staff were all beautiful people. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Fabulous little coffee shop. They don't make them like this anymore. Really nice service, delicious treats. We got Turkish coffee. Nice and quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Found my new fave.

I love this coffee shop!! So cozy and such friendly people!! The owner is really social and kind as well!! The food, drinks, pastries & everything is really good ! I go here a lot either to study or with my friends. Definitely recommend! Don’t understand why some people write bad reviews about great places with great service. I love it 💗

I live upstairs from th iui s coffee shop and they are friendly there and stay open pretty late! The neighborhood cops go there in the late hours to get coffee and visit. It gets packed but they manage to have space for everyone inside and outside. I don't always like how loud the people can be considering I live in the apartments above the coffee shop. I wish that the coffee shop would be more respectful of the people living in the same building that there shop is in. But business is business.

Love this little hideaway in the least obvious of places. Customer service is stellar, my custom salami and provolone cheese panini was as good as the ones I desperately miss from back home in NYC. Everyone was friendly, the owner was so welcoming, probably could have talked with him for hours. Go, and you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!

This is one of my favorite neighborhood haunts. The owner is a big friendly Mediterranean w/ a wonderfully eclectic sensibility and a love of music apparent in everything from memorabilia to the oft times open stage. Not sure how it happens but on occasion it seems like any musician who plays at a certain level can jam either w Dario himself or others who perhaps drift in mysteriously. The staff tend towards vivacious and attractive, the desserts will put u into diabetic overload just looking at them and overall...it's just one of those places ur gonna go back to.
