Super great little place tucked into a building next to Sizzle Pie & Powell's and well worth the stop. They roast their own coffee, deliver it via bike courier, and bake all their own goods in shop. Their canneles are super delicious and they always have a fantastic record spinning in the shop!

I'm a barista in Los Angeles and wanted to hit as many coffee shops as I could while I was here. I planned to hit up Powell's and needed some coffee before, so me and my girlfriend saw Courier and decided to stop in. Everyone serving was super friendly, and I got a pretty standard hot almond milk mocha. The barista took her time making it (in a professional way, not in a slow uncaring way) and WOW. What a deep rich flavor. I saw them using actual (I assume dark) chocolate chips and what a difference it makes! Absolutely one of the best tasting espresso drinks I've ever had. Smooth as silk and yet had a very wonderful bitter dark chocolate flavor.
The decor is minimal I literally only saw coffee equipment and a dope record collection. It's clear that this place puts coffee before everything else and I respect and appreciate that. Wish I lived here so I could keep coming in.

Great little coffee roaster located downtown. I needed to buy some ground coffee and we found this place wandering around. I bought the one from Guatemala. Brewed it the next day and it was delicious! The inside is cozy and there's some chairs out in front. Not whole heartedly pretentious, but I can see it being that a peak times.

Everyone here is super super nice despite the hipster "we're cool" vibe you may get walking by. The staff is incredibly friendly and they make really delicious cookies for $1 (but they almost always sell out - so plan ahead!)
The coffee is smooth, drinkable, and really delicious. Love this place!

A very vibey coffee shop. One of the best iced lattes I've ever had - and they were generous enough to let my dog have a big ice cube as well in the heat. They don't have outlets, but if you're planning to write or draw its a great spot. You can people watch, or just listen to the jams playing from the old record player. I liked it here a lot!

Hand-selected coffee from distant locales, roasted here in Portland and delivered by bike. The freshness is unmatched, the vibes are thick. Strike up a convo about the region or specific farm where your coffee was grown and you’ll be enlightened shortly.
Fresh baked goods, including muffins, cookies, and sometimes Canelé. Treat yo self!

Everytime I come here I am reminded how great it is. I drink a ridiculous amount of coffee and make a habit of trying every coffee shop I can. In the past three years of being in the area and the several dozen shops Ive tried this place is still my favorite. By far one of the best cold brews in the city and thire homemade syrups are well balanced and amazing. The environment is intimate, quiet, and very relaxing. Definitely a great spot to bring a book to or meet a friend.

Courier Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in town. I've been coming here for years. Their baked goods are especially lovely, both the canelés and the muffins. I love coming here for a mocha, checking out the art on the wall, and listening to whatever record they have going.

If you want an “Authentic Portland” feel this is the place for you. If you want a good cup of hot chocolate it definitely isn’t. The hot chocolate was just bad, probably the worst I’ve ever had. Also the staff came across as rude. Maybe I caught everything on a bad day but definitely will not be coming back.

Came by here to buy some beans to fly across country, they have been extremely enjoyable. I got a pound of the Kenyan. I also grabbed a cappuccino to go, which was awesome. The staff was very friendly here, and the place is cool and minimalistic. Would recommend for solid coffee.
