I rate exclusively on the drinks. This place has strict Covid protocol (you must wear a mask even though you are outdoors and there's a plexi barrier.) Kinda stupid, but I don't mind erring on the side of caution.
The decaf was genuinely interesting. Very floral, tea-like quality (think jasmine) without dominant acidity. It's not what I would normally choose for a milk-based espresso drink, but it works well as an americano.
GF said "delicious, very very good" about her oatmilk latte. She thought it was very "full-flavored" but I thought the oatmilk was too noticeable (but I normally think that of oat).
Four stars from me is a very high rating. I would only give five stars to maybe five out of thousands of coffee shops I've tried.

I had the ginger and milk and it was amazing. Came back to get it again two days later and it barely had any flavor. Not sure what happened between Saturday and Monday.
edit with more detail: Thank you for your response. This was last weekend, the 3rd and 5th that I visited. On the 3rd, the ginger had a sharp flavor, similar to a craft ginger beer made with real ginger. On the 5th the ginger flavor was mild. Next time I am in Portland I will be back to try it again. My wife loved the cold brew coffee!

Incredibly delicious coffee. Typical Portland service, which struck me as a bit cold when I first moved here, but now seems normal. The baristas are interesting and passionate people who know coffee. I love the ambiance, which is just the right amount gritty. The local art on display is very well curated--I always look forward to seeing a new collection.

Cool shabby shop with kind staff. The pour over is a steel filter which is nice for being environmentally friendly but I really prefer the clean cups that come from a paper filter the natural process. Ethiopian pour over was a bit muted compared to some of the bright fruity cups I've had at home. The espresso was delicious and on the slightly sour end which I like.

This place has an amazing atmosphere. I can tell that they use minimal plastic in their preparation and operations. I like their record player and old fashioned shave ice machine. The coffee is excellent too. Very bold flavors with a smooth finish. Highly recommend!

One of the best micro-roasters in town. A local coffee place with lots of regulars gathering by the bar in the morning. Small batches roasted to perfection. The Sumatra is silky smooth. The canele is very unique, with a nice contrasts of the crispy outer and soft breading inside.

It was my first visit here. Because of recommendation from very famous local chocolate shop staff, it was happened. The coffee I tasted was SUMATRA. It was nice balanced and flavoured so much. So I took the coffee for my souvenir of PDX. And I still enjoy it in Japan. The shop is cozy, but people are friendly and nice atmosphere. Especially, hand written label on the 1 lb. bag is great.

Best coffee shop I've been to. Focus on ultra-premium quality. A big reason I miss living in Portland. Used to come in with my wife and 3 kids. Outstanding cookies and hot chocolate, as well. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating staff.

My new, favorite cafe in Portland serves up highly distinctive roasts from around the world. I come for the coffee, but the architecture and the staff are wonderful as well. I'm currently drinking their Rwanda, but the Burundi, and the Ethiopian have been excellent. The staff has a lot to say about various growing regions, globally. Finally, they spin some choice vinyl on a turntable. Love this place.

The coffee is excellent and it's one of the coolest cafés in Portland. It has everything you could want: young, attractive clientele, a record player spinning great music, local art on the walls, everything delivered by bicycle, fresh pastries. And yet — despite the potential for coming off as pretentious — the staff is among the friendliest and nicest in the city.
