After trying Every coffee shop in the valley (30+)...Ashland to Shady Cove..there are only 6 that I recommend. Remix, Mix, Case, Nobel, Griffen Creek/Manna, Limestone and possibly Good Bean in J-ville.

(9/25/2018 update: The last 4 visits to the Good Bean on North Phoenix road have been underwhelming. Espresso drinks were somewhat ordinary....almost like DB. Part of the strong appeal of this Good Bean and the one in Jacksonville is the spacious comfortable interiors, free wifi, and the friendly professional staff. Those advantages remain. Hoping recent coffee disappointments are temporary and are located back up the bean supply chain.

Good Bean Capucinos and Lattes are OK...even with 2%. Cranberry-Walnut bagel with herb spread...yummm. The selfie Bagel toasting machine is iffy. You may never see your precious bagel again... or it may fly off the ramp onto the floor.

Tim and Katie are the local owners of Case Coffee near SOU. Your capucino/latte is either made to Tim's high standards...or he tosses it out and starts over. T/K do not make excuses. Their beans are fresh roasted on the premesis.

Another excellent choice, if in Ashland, is Mix (Plaza) and Remix (Ashland st) for coffee and wide selection of $uperior baked goods. The newly opened Remix has the deepest and richest coffee drinks in the valley...due in large part to their new TOTL expresso machine. Just skip all the valley roadside coffee stands and their watery bitter amateurish disappointments. Fast, yes...satisfying, no.

The valley does have Excellent coffee...you just have to look ....starting with Remix, Mix, Case, Griffen Creek, Limestone and Nobel... Good Bean is currently on Probation.

BTW...Griffin Creek coffee roasters...at the farmer's markets and managed by Truman ...have superior brewed coffee for $2 @ large cup. GC coffees are now available at the Excellent Manna bakery in Ashland.

Love the non-dairy alternatives for coffee drinks. Great food selection--sandwiches, quiche, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Enjoyed the iced coconut milk mocha, the Jacksonville Thrill, Jalepeño Swiss roll, and the Berry coffee cake.

A cafe located in a what used to be a charming old farm and is now a corporate park. Pottery barn furniture, a fake fireplace, and sketchy WiFi. However, the kitchen is organized and the coffee and food come out quickly. Bakery goods are above average.

Love this place. Great food, beautiful atmosphere and the young staff is so friendly and positive.

My favorite coffee in Medford. Staff is always friendly and willing to make whatever you ask for. The breakfast burritos are delicious and made to order.

Charming little shop hidden in an office park. The food is very good and the drinks are great!

There was so many flys inside and heavy smoke inside throughout the building from the kitchen.

Good Bean is a great place for coffee. The room has comfortable furniture and is usually quiet enough to have a conversation.

Currently a little biased because I work here, but even before that I recognized the Good Bean to be one of the best cafes in the Valley. You'll be hard pressed to find a better cappuccino anywhere else.

First time there at this location up on the foothill by Roxy ann winery on Hillcrest Rd .very nice cafe big and very clean. But for us out of our way on east side of valley.
