Egg River Café

The Smoked Salmon Benedict was exceptionally delicious! The vibe here was really good. I can tell they really love what they do. I hope to come back as soon as possible!

To use a phrase from one of their signs, “This place is eggceptional.” I had the chicken chilaquiles with eggs. Very good. Staff was pleasant as always and we snagged the seat with a pleasant view of Mount Adams. It can get very busy on the weekends so get there early. Spicy Bloody Mary is a good way to jump start the day. Egg River is a must stop if you are looking for a good breakfast spot in the Hood River area.
Note parking in front of the Egg River is very limited. I think there is only 4-5 spots so be on the lookout to the overflow parking lot straight across from the restaurant.

This place was great, considering it wasn't breakfast time and we ordered breakfast. It was very good, little busy but it was worth the wait.

Initially it was a nice place although I ordered bacon and egg breakfast they had forgotten to bring. Tables should be wiped before the guests it not in front of them especially when a dampened towel. No one wants to sit on a wet seat. Hospitality was really nice and I encourage to keep that friendly smile!

Everything was fantastic: food, atmosphere, service! If I lived closer, I would return to often. The pancakes...fabulous. I can't think of a time I've seen a thicker pancake!

The place is adorable with farm-style decorations and funny signs, staff was extra friend and despite the place being very busy we were seated quickly and the food came out very fast as well. Not only was the menu large and varied, our group ordered 4 very different dishes and all were good. The full bar and breakfast cocktails were a very nice bonus. No nonsense, no frills, but delicious and good value for the price. Highly recommend! We will be stopping here for breakfast again when we are back in the area.

Eggcellent spot for top notch breakfast and brunch. We travel here about once a month (an hour, one-way) and it is an absolute favorite place to eat for us. My wife gets the eggs benedict every time, she can't get enough! I try something from the evolving weekend special menu every time and have always been impressed. If Gordon Ramsey was ever in town, I bet a stop here would satisfy him:) Parking can be shy, don't be a jerk and park at the motel kitty corner, it ruffles the motel owner's feathers:)

Great place for a full on breakfast menu. Seems there is a possible 10 to 15min wait on Saturday or Sunday. Very congenial & friendly folks that work here. Enjoyed it & would go back again. Thumbs up.
