Buttery flaky biscuits and good espresso know-how. The outdoor seating has a very cosmopolitan feel. This coffee shop will appeal to some, and I think they'll know who they are.

Magpie is part of the 5th street expansion and is a quick walk from the Inn at the 5th and steps away from the Gordon Hotel. The coffee is great, there are outdoor tables to sit at, great for those who like to bring their dog with them. They also have a small selection of beer and wine. Bakery items look to die for, single serve pies baked fresh daily. Would highly recommend for locals or those traveling.

I got a matcha latte and it was good! Not quite as strong as I like but still a good drink

I had the BLT toast. $8.50 for one piece of toast with toppings, and by the time I got to my room right next door at the Gordon, the toast was completely soggy from the tomato jam. The bacon was cooked, I think, but not crispy. I picked most of it off, and only ate about half of the toast. I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but the BLT toast was not a winner.

Super friendly staff, great coffee. The breakfast bowl & egg biscuit were delish. We will definitely be back!!

Gave it one star because they were the only coffee shop open on Sunday before 8am. Staff does not acknowledge customers when they walk in. None of the employees seem happy to there. No thank yous for tipping. Worst tasting coffee ever. Don't waste your time or money.

Awful blackberry jasmine tea. And, the worst matcha latte I've ever had.
