Nice place, very amazing ambiance. Ordered the matcha and avocado toast. Matcha was a bit too milky, and I wished that it had more matcha. The avocado toast was alright, wish it had more toppings other than avocado. The vibe was very nice, plants in the store made it feel homey. Baristas very nice and welcoming as well. One of the first places I visited in Eugene while visiting.

I was in town visiting a friend and we’d heard Magpie was opening, but didn’t know when. We were in the area today, walked by to check it out, and we happened to hit their soft opening. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We grabbed three pies: the French Silk, Strawberry Rhubarb, and the Salty Honey. I’ve only tried the French Silk so far because it was so rich. It was a little denser than I was expecting, but absolutely delicious. We took our pies home, but there was indoor and outdoor seating available. Overall a great experience!

We ate at magpie several times while staying at the inn at 5th. The coffee is good (the seasonal peppermint mocha was very good) and the avocado toast with ricotta was delicious. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were friendly.

The coffee here is Eugene style coffee. Deep roasted and bitter, like my soul. There is an art and craft to a good cup of coffee. I guess. The people who work here are upfront, carefree, taller than me and helpful. The place itself is too noisome. It is the high ceilings and cave like entrance. Customers were not being loud but the sound bounces everywhere. Lemon Meringue Pie filling was fine. That was no short crust. A stiff, hard pie shell is a no. For other things that would be okay. I like the post card business with mail box. That is cool. The stale Chick-O-Stick, nuh uh. Overall, I will not be back.

To start off with the order taker was confused, charged too much 4 the person ahead of me, not focused on my order, receipt, etc. I ordered a large chai that was so heavily spiced, it tasted like black pepper was in it and burned my throat. It was nasty and my friends iced mocha tasted like chocolate milk with no coffee it it. We will never come here again. Me and my friend were trying 4 the first time, so very disappointed. We came at 10 on Sunday 5/7

I've always been a huge fan of their coffees and pies- this time I branched out and got a seasonal tea latté and one of their selection of cute ciders. Experience continues to be 10/10!

Great atmosphere for a coffee date. Delicious coffee. Clean, spacious and cool! Nice patio. In the 5th Street Alley.

Fun decor, sweet and savory pies, wines and fun merch. Easy passage of time and dog friendly outdoor seating.

My experience was so-so. Staff was great though - I should call that out. They were very friendly and helpful. Avocado toast was ok. Table was wobbly (someone call Larry David). I gave it a try, but there are better places in the area.

I work nearby and stopped by here for the first time today. The staff was very friendly and they had a great selection of sweets. I decided to try the strawberry cream pie. The gentleman that helped me said it was very creamy, and it is! It has a dense whipped cream top with a creamy custard layer with strawberry slices inside. I really liked the little bit of strawberry with lots of cream! The only downside is the crust is a bit thick and chewy. I prefer a flakier crust. I suppose it's that way because the pie is so dense, it helps hold it together. But it does not add to the deliciousness of the pie. I'll be back to try s pie with a graham cracker crust next time... Or a cinnamon roll (they looked amazing).

Update: I went back and tried the Chicken Tarragon savory hand pie. It was delicious!! It was kind of like a chicken pot pie, but easier to eat. The crust was flaky and so, so good!! I also tried the cold brew coffee, and yummmm! They added some chocolate ganache and cream. It was the perfect mix of chocolate and coffee, but not too sweet. If you are in the area give this place a try!
