Cannon Beach has done it right. This is the best coffee shop in town. Sure if the line streams out the door and down the block. But they have blankets to keep you toasty while you sit on the porch enjoy the view and sip your cup of hot Joe. The baked goods are otherworldly. Do not miss this place when you come to Cannon Beach.

the women running this place are one in a million. each day while checking out, i had such a great experience interacting with the staff. my (soy) cappuccinos were the best i have ever had ...... and i buy a lot of capps all over. sleepy monk is truly the gem of this area.

i never mind waiting in line for sleepy monk in peak summer, but it feels special to support in winter months too. remember these folks work hard -- TIP THEM FOR THEIR AMAZING WORK!!! it's truly the least you can do.

I’m from Portland and this place has better coffee because they take their time and make it with love.

Great coffee, nice people. Tried coffee in 13 different countries and so far, this one is my favorite. Try their home made whipped cream, it's fantastic (I don't even like whipped cream in my coffee).

Love this place, we visit every time we are in town. My son gets a donut and I grab a bag of beans. The people are super nice! Also they will grind the beans you take home for the type of brewing you do, chemex ftw! Also, when you buy a bag of beans it comes with a complimentary 12 oz coffee!

Terrible experience. Placed order with Rebecah(she was great). Placed second order a few minutes later as rest of family showed up. Never got first order but second one came right away. I inquired inside about first order and dark haired lady was very rude, questioning me about order and adamant we never placed it. Finally prepared order, got it wrong, no apology!! Persistent that I was trying to con them about first order…don’t waste time here when lots of other great coffee shops close by.

It was my first visit here, I wanted a non dairy cold latte. I don't like my coffee bitter at all. In my home town I have a place I go to and she told me the trick is to pour the milk at the same time as the shots. I was very kind in asking for my drink. I was very 😲 shocked at how rude both of the counter women were to me. I was not demanding I just asked please this is how I like it. She said NO we don't do that here. And the other lady said WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING. so much pride in that building.
I tries to pay her to upside my drink and she said at this point I will give it to you so you can GO! I walked out and took one sip it was horrible and very bitter.
I brought it back in and put it on the counter and walked out without a drink that I paid for. I am more shocked at how RUDE they were to me. Then how bad the drink tasted. Don't ask for anything special here, you will not get it!!!

The coffee isn't great. They do this amazing drink that's a mocha with chocolate whipped cream and caramel that's super tasty, indulgent and hides the coffee well. Staff are great. Disappointing that they use nuts in their pastries.

Excellent! Friendly staff, great coffee and comfortable chairs out front. Do yourself a favor and get a latte, a gluten free cookie and one of their t-shirts.

Best coffee and pastries at the coast. The beans are amazing and the people are even nicer!
