Was really able to taste the good coffee in a whole milk latte. Very good pastries too. There'll be a line out of the door if you arrive for opening but, if your nicotine withdrawal lets you wait until 8:15, you'll likely not have to wait.

Above all, these people here are just wonderful. If you want a warm, creative coffee drink this is the place for you. Make sure to try their Rosemary Salt Bagel with Salmon Spread….. it’s divine!

Such an adorable coffee shop! With nice vegan/gf treat options. We sat outside under the heat lamps and watched the rain. Be still my heart!

Sleepy Monk is without a doubt some of the best coffee you can get your hands on.
Roasted by their in house team these organic coffees are smooth, delicious and crafted to hold up whether you like a cup of plain black or something considerably sweeter.
The ladies that run/own the shop and their employees are some of the sweetest people you’ll encounter and make you feel at ease and not the slightest bit rushed despite there being a line out the door and down the street. That being said don’t let the line fool you it moves quickly and is worth the wait.
Make sure to grab a pastry while you’re in, the lemon curd and cardamon biscuit is our favorite, but the donuts and jumbo size cookies are also made fresh and are equally as scrumptious.
Make sure to stop in before they lock the doors at 3pm.

The line out the door drew me in — I had to see what all the excitement was about for myself! The line moved quickly, as the baristas make a strong, efficient team. They checked the coffee pots and condiment bar so the customer-side was just as well taken care of as behind the bar. I asked for a recommendation on a light roast, so I bought a bag of some Costa Rican beans. Their house special lattes are all great, especially with their housemade chocolate whipped cream! I also got a delicious buttermilk bar. Nice stop for a sweet treat and some coffee beans!

A bit of advice, I do not recommend commenting on the Narcan sticker displayed on the hanging plastic partition. I mentioned I had never seen a sticker like that and the ladies were quick to reply "why wouldn't you carry Narcan? It saves lives." It felt very aggressive and accusatory. BTW...the nature of my job actually requires me to carry several applications of Narcan...maybe that is why the sticker stood out to me. I wonder if they carry Narcan? Next, when our coffee was ready the lady walked PAST US and placed them on an obscure table outside then walked back in and let us know our coffee was sitting on the table outside. No big deal, just wondering why someone would walk past us with our coffee instead of simply handing it to us. Lastly, we spent $24 on two coffees and a bag of beans. Considering the coffee isn't very good, I am wondering how the coffee I am going to make at home with the beans is going to taste. Wish us luck. Very odd experience... probably will not visit again.
