This is hands down the absolute best coffee shop in the PNW. The shop itself is tiny, but super charming and the folks who work there are absolutely lovely. The drinks are great. But the beans.
The beans are the best beans I've ever had. Whoever they have as the master coffee roaster is an absolute genius. My family makes trips to Cannon specifically just to go to Sleepy Monk to stock up on beans every few months because we refuse to drink anything else at this point.

For me, visiting Sleepy Monk alone is worth the trip from Idaho to the Oregon coast. They just have the best roasts and blends (which we also have delivered to us at home). But a freshly made Druid’s Delight and a savory scone, on the beach? Unbeatable!

On our yearly trip for our anniversary, we always stop here on our way home for some coffee. Last year, it was rich and delicious, this year it was burned and bitter. I'm not sure if they switched coffee or someone messed up the roast. Unfortunately, we go it to go and didn't taste it until we were 20 miles away. Disappointed to say the least. With this, our last trip to this quaint little shop is done.

Delicious coffee and bagels.
My wife had the New York bagel and it was the winner.
I had the chicken salad on the onion bagel. It was good but I had wished I got the New York after seeing hers.
I'll just have to come back. Did I mention the coffee is good too? It is! Got some oat milk and chilled on the blue comfortable coach for an hour and got some work done.

Delicious coffee and a wide selection of pastries. Wood paneled interior is warm and relaxing, a great place to read a book. They do not have wifi which is great. They have some covered outdoor seating.

Owner of nearby shop let us know about Sleepy Monk’s being the best in town, and possibly across the state. It’s a sweet little coffee shop, not a lot of room to just hangout- at least when we were there. But that’s only because there was a line out the door, because the coffee must be that good. We bought drip coffee & really enjoyed it. We also took some beans home to enjoy. Do yourself a favor- grab a cup and hit the beach to take in the views.

Awesome place. Spectacular cold brew with strong flavor. The iced raspberry tea threw a party for my taste buds.

Terrible attitudes from the staff after they got my wife’s drink wrong serving her something that she is allergic to and causing her servers discomfort for the rest of the day after just one sip.
Both the lady that took the order and the second lady bringing the orders out made snotty comments as if we had done something wrong.
We just wanted what we asked for, even though my wife never ended up getting the $7 drink we ordered.
Never again!

This little jem has a crazy cool vibe, awesome staff and delicious baking. The espresso they roast and use is sweet, chocolatey and finishes with a fruit hit. I’m not sure what kind of manic they use, but I am haunted by the deliciousness of the americano I tasted. If you are anywhere near Cannon beach, it’s in your mouths beat interest to stop here. 👍

Sleepy Monk Coffee is fabulous! The staff are polite and thankful for the patronage. They have a good system for COVID operation. The coffee is really good. I enjoyed the mocha one day and a simple americano a different day. I also enjoyed a chocolate chip scone. We wil definitely be back.
