First time trying this place and was surprised that they had coquito on the menu. I was curious to try it, but they were out. We ordered 2 dishes one dish with a spice level of 1 and the other dish with spice level of 2. To me neither dish was spicey and I usually top out at spice level of 2 or 3 depending on a locations spicey factor. The food had good flavor and tasted fine. You do get ALOT of rice noodles on your dish. The only draw back for me was my dining partner recieved their dish 5 minutes before I did. I realize restaurants are struggling to have full staff and I dont mind waiting. I had been trained that a table is served together or within 1/2 minute window of each other. Life happens and there are instances where that doesn't happen and then it's communicated to the customer. In this instance, I would have liked communication. Otherwise, Tropical was a decent restaurant.

I've only ordered take out here. I got the pad Thai and was a little disappointed that the container for it looked small, it ended up being 2 servings for me and was very delicious! The building is kind of tucked away and was a little hard for me to find, but it was a very cute and charming establishment.

I have been eating at the tropical for 10 years now. I have never had a bad meal. I have had it both as take out & dining in, and each time is is incredible. The portions are large & the prices are very fair. The lettuce wraps are unlike anything else. Their service has been affected by covid like ALL businesses. The workers they do have are very hard working & kind. Amazing place. I will forever return to the Tropical.

Because it's a little outside my typical Tulsa stomping grounds, The Tropical tends to fall out of the rotation and I often forget how good it truly is. From the outside the place looks unassuming, but inside you'll find a beautiful, expansive, fully stocked bar, clean and spacious dining rooms, and a knowledgeable, attentive serving staff. There are a wide variety of menu options from traditional Thai food and house specialties to pricier 'off the grill items." The Tropical offers a lunch special that runs from 11:00 to 3:00 where most entrees do not exceed $14.
They were out of Chang Beer (Thai) so we ordered Mai Tais that were generously poured with a nice balance of fruity and nutty flavors. Whether it's your first time in or you're a regular customer, the Lettuce Wraps are spectacular and portioned as a good appetizer for four. These appear to be a house favorite.
We selected the Kaprao and the Nam-Prik Pao Fried Rice as our entrees and were highly satisified with both; although, the Nam-Prik Pao Fried Rice (which we got with stir fried pork) was definitely the highlight. The tangy ginger sauce which coated the fried rice paired well with the savory pork and the tartness of the julienned apples. Will DEFINITELY get this dish again.
The overhead lighting made it difficult to get good photos w/o shadows and I neglected to get a photo of the lettuce wraps. Dishes came out piping hot and looked great - but photos wouldn't have done the food justice, anyway.

Overnight visit to Tulsa and we wanted some good Thai......well we found it! Large dining room with friendly staff. Green curry and garlic stir fry were both delicious with large portions. Will be back soon😋😋

The Tropical is one of my absolute favorite restaurants for Thai/Asian. The food is so fresh and delicious, the staff is so kind, and the atmosphere is relaxed and elegant. The ONLY con is the hidden location because it is SO good. The Pad Thai is the best I have ever had and I have ordered it from many restaurants. For an appetizer the lettuce wraps are a must. Their other restaurant “Lanna Thai” is amazing as well. Slightly different but both are amazing.

Delicious. Fresh. Nourishing. Made to order. Elegant yet comfortable warm inviting setting. Very clean. Extremely attentive wait staff. FABULOUS meal- I would feel confident ordering any dish. Plenty food and you don't feel terrible afterward.

Had a bad experience yesterday. The yellow curry fried rice ordered had a burnt taste and could clearly see burnt chicken as shown in the picture.. Not sure what happened but it was a waste for the price...
Ordered the green curry this time. It was ok but far too expensive($12.95)

In Tulsa for business and gave this one a try. Ate alone at the bar and was treated wonderfully. The food was great. Got a spice level 5 and it was a little lite on the heat, but the flavors were great. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Great Thai food! Everything has always been great here. Can't go wrong with the Pad Thai or curry chicken fried rice! Give it a try. You won't regret it if you like Thai food.
