I used to come here all the time, but now any time I walk in there is nowhere to sit, or park for that matter! They need to consider finding a bigger space for their business, because this is absolutely ridiculous. The only other place to park is in the private parking for the businesses next door, who have signs posted that they will tow violators.
Used to be a fun, charming place, until it got so popular. Now it's the most anxiety inducing coffee shop in the world.

This is literally my favorite coffee shop in Tulsa - most of the others feel cold, industrial, and empty. Shades is warm, cozy, has great music, lots of plants, comfortable seats, and good drinks (especially the shifting seasonal menu). I've been going here since high school and I love how at home it makes me feel.

Warm and welcoming environment. My family came in after trick or treating and the barista was super accommodating and friendly. I ordered a grasshopper, thinking it was a warm drink, and wound up with a frozen drink. Normally, I'd be disappointed, but man.. this drink is the best drink I've ever had at a coffee shop. Soooo good!!!

One of my favorite places in town. Shades of Brown is a very laid back spot to study, do homework, or just hang with friends. Not super loud, but not too quiet. The guys up at the bar are super funny and honestly make the trip worth it. I recommend the green couch for studying, and the red couch for hanging out with friends.

Shades has been my favorite coffee shop in Tulsa since I started drinking coffee. The staff are incredible. Love talking about coffee and everything under the sun. The shop has a great vibe and the artwork is always fun and quirky. As a barista I would definitely recommend Shades of Brown

Shades is a lovely, rustic place full of character; a Tulsa classic. It's quite cozy and due to its popularity often quite snug as well. As long as you can find a spot, it's a great place to get work done and the drinks never disappoint.

Quaint, comfy, nice spot to engage in a conversation, hide in a corner and read a book or possibly meet someone new. I ate a generously sized cinnamon roll and had a Golden Black coffee they were both very delicious! Staff were friendly and expedient, I will definitely visit again.

Pretty cool coffee shop! From street view couldnt tell if it was open or not because it was so dark, but it was lol. The barely lit atmosphere sets the mood for the place for sure. Very chill and relaxing place to enjoy a coffee with a friend and quiet enough to take care of school or work related business. This place gets a thumbs up and green light from me!

Coming to Shades of Brown for 10+ years to meet friends, study, and of course drink coffee. The baristas are friendly and knowledgable, even creating their own signature seasonal drinks. Always feeling welcomed here. Great food and desserts as well!

(Visited on 09/12/2021)... My mom and I ate vegan pastries and washed them down with pumpkin spice chai tea. We both agree that this drink pleased the palette so much that we drank it rapidly. Adding more praise to this pumpkin spice chai tea, we also say that it tastes better than the same drink from Starbucks.

Shades of Brown, keep spreading the fall season with your delicious drink and pastries.
