Ludger's Bavarian Cakery

We ordered cake here to celebrate a birthday at work. It was great. Sauce was delicious.

Not so great: Advertising for Mother’s Day cake with an order window of 2 days, 2.5 days at most. Link posted on Facebook on Monday 5/2. Taken down before 8am on 5/5. No communication of when the special is ending or quantity available as a pre-order. Consider putting the amount available so customers have an idea. Instead of placing in cart. Adding instructions. Then push submit only to get an error this is no longer available. Quite frustrating honestly and disappointing. Was advised to place an order 2 weeks prior to special occasion. Why would I place the order if I didn’t know what the design looked like? Especially if have to pre-pay.

I had to post my photos separate in the photos section but if you see a white dinosaur cake it was for our 5 year old and it was absolutely delicious! The chocolate cake (white butter cream icing) so moist, pricing right on point, lots of decorations with chocolate “rocks” which was such a cute idea! I asked for little food coloring so it wouldn’t taste like dye and it didn’t taste like dye at all but still colorful enough to be beautiful :) Will be ordering again!

The lobster bisque. It's amazing and I just had it for breakfast. It makes me want to be a better person. It deserves at the minimum a lovely haiku or sonnet. Thanks Ludger's!

I love their cakes and gluten free options! The store is super cute as well and is a nice place to hang out.

Ordered a cake for a bridal shower - gave inspiration photos which included macaron cookies and fresh flowers on top. They told us we needed to bring in our own cookies and our own flowers a whole day before pickup so they could decorate. so we did. We picked up the cake today and they didn’t decorate at all and told us we had to do it ourselves. Still trying to figure out what decorating we were charged for.

When we opened the lid of the box there was a huge gash in the icing on the front of the cake.. as well as on the sides. Super disappointed in how the experience turned out. And you can’t leave a message when you call.

I have used them for the last 4 yrs for birthday cakes and I decided to do so for our wedding cake! Very beautiful and elegant cake! As usual taste delicious! We chose white cake with strawberry and lemonade filling and raspberry and strawberry sauce! Yummy!

The staff was very friendly, but the food was mostly disappointing. The peanut butter chocolate cake and cheesecake wedge was lacking in both peanut butter and chocolate flavor. The cream puff tasted like it had been sitting out a fairly long time. The croissant was actually pretty good, but it had no crunch whatsoever. It felt more like a soft, chewy, biscuit than flaky, layered pastry.
The tea drink was decent as well, but that was the highlight of the visit.

Light breakfast, mocha, and treats for a Christmas bag! Made one stop and checked off 3 To-Dos! That plus always great service and offerings to drool over. Ludger's is fast becoming my go-to bakery, dining, and gift-giving destination. Hard to beat!

I was looking for a special custom cake for my son's birthday and they did a fantastic job! They listened to what I was requesting and definitely delivered. We were all very impressed with the cake design and it tasted as good as it looked. I highly recommend Ludger's and will definitely be using them again in the future.

The baked goods here were incredible. The menu is pretty large and the prices are very reasonable. I also ordered a white chocolate mocha, but I didn’t care for it. I don’t know if maybe it was made incorrectly, but there was like a bitter coffee taste as opposed to a rich espresso flavor. We might try the coffee again to see if it was just a one time thing, but other than that the experience was great.
