City & State

Between the atmosphere and the staff being great I wanted to leave a review because this place is worth the visit if you want a great night out. The food was spot on and my old fashioned was perfect. This place is my new regular. Highly recommend!

I just had an AMAZING date night at City + State OKC. It's brand new and I would completely recommend it to anyone looking for a fancier night out on the town. Great atmosphere, superb service, and the food was 🤤🤤🤤🤤. You'll also want to try some drinks. The winner for drinks was the 'I Do Declare.'

Give it a try. You won't regret it.

BAD service, BAD bartender, BAD management
1st time, got there at 7:15pm sat at bar, ordered drinks at 7:30pm (no service til then) ordered food at same time 7:30pm.. NO CHECK UPS, NO 2ND DRINKS, ASKED about food at 8:30pm, told 20 more minutes. Meanwhile others are getting food, ordered a simple burger. THEN FOUND OUT I WAS OVER CHARGED FOR THE 2 DRINKS. $45!! MANAGEMENT was no help, didn't even try.. we left.. BAD

We showed up on a Friday night with reservations. The restaurant was probably 25% full at best and they tried to seat us (a party of 2) at the tiniest little table crammed next to tables that were full of people. I asked if we could be moved and that wasn’t an option other than sitting at the bar so we left.

The food is amazing. Everything in the restaurant is made in house by the chef I.e so there is no steak sauce, no bbq sauce ,etc. They also have a pastry chef who makes the desserts come and enjoy the experience.

Giving 4 stars because it is a beautiful concept and I genuinely would like for them to succeed. Plus, Lauren, who answers the phone was a delight. Sadly, that is where the delight ends.
It is apparent that a great deal of thought went into this concept, down to the little details that really do create A VIBE.
Now for the takeaways, our table was broken and about to fall apart (no, not in a "fold a napkin up and fix it" kind of way) the tabletop was being held together by tape... We point this out to our server and he just kinda shrugged. It was a slow night and out of the 8 of us that order entrees, not a single one was warm, which is ironic given some are served in skillets. After asking if there was in fact short rib in the Short Rib Bolognese, we were told they "grind" the short rib? *scratches head in suspicion*
We had all been very excited to try City + State, but were greatly disappointed in the $20 - $30 entrees and seemingly dejected waitstaff.

Had booked a party of five and had a question to ask. Little disappointed, I've called on 3 different days this week to speak to someone and it's always a voicemail. As a new business I recommend having a live person available to provide information, create excitement, etc,

Great drinks, nice service, horrible food. I don't think anyone in the kitchen owns a thermometer. Reheat a medium rare .... Really? Now it's a cold medium well. I give up.

We’ve had Steph as our waiter twice and wow what a treat! Our food and drinks are always excellent, and we ask Steph to surprise us with desserts. Excellent dessert picker 😉

Have to wait too long. Food quality is less. Food is good but price is too much for less quantity of food.
Will visit when I don’t have to worry about waiting because it take 30 min to get one drink and 1 hour to get appetizer and 2 hour for dinner.
