Awesome coffeeshop in Uptown Westerville!
First time I have had a chance to stop in. They had live music for the first time out on their back patio (String Theory), and very very friendly staff... with an excellent frozen mocha!!
They support their community in many ways, and it was a great pleasure to stop in 👍

I’m giving this place two stars because the staff was friendly but the coffee is expensive (much more than Starbucks) and the taste was not great which brings down the review. Tried the 16 oz frozen buckeye mocha ($7), 16 oz iced buckeye mocha ($6.5) and the frozen caramel drizzle. None tasted like coffee. There was a huge difference between the frozen and iced buckeye drinks. The peanut butter flavor wasn’t prominent.
Overall the drinks were meh and I’m not rushing to return

Perfecto! The folks at Java Central always make my day complete! The chai latte is the best in town!

I’ve always loved this place for its quaint atmosphere. Appears to be recently remodeled and possibly new owners. Food and coffee is always top notch including service. But whew, inflation has hit this place in a big way, $3.60 for their smallest cup of medium roast. Not an error, verified.

I visited Java Central on a Saturday afternoon. In their defense, it was very busy. I ordered a blonde flat white - not hard to make. What I received tasted like the rinse water (no joke!!). I didn't taste it while in the shop, so I didn't realize how horrible it was until after I had left. I had to throw the whole cup away - a sad waste of $5.

The quintessential neighborhood coffee shop. I love chatting up the staff for tips and recommendations. They make the best cappuccinos in town and the daily drip is worth a three-mile hike in the winter. Buy a bag of beans and get a free cup. They have a solid lineup of regular single-source & blends as well as seasonal varieties. Their support of local artists, both visual and musical, adds to the coziness and warmth.

Tried this place during my lunch. Wasted most of my time waiting in line, other people were served ahead of me and the Cortado was overly bitter. Over prized for a small coffee, $4.25.

Awesome shop. Quick service even when they were busy. Great latte!

Java Central serves a consistently good cup of coffee. I regularly get a Cubano when I visit. This is the only coffee shop in the area that I've visited that serves a Cubano, which has been an enjoyable find. Their pastries aren't top notch, but they're good. Especially when they have the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie coffee cake. I have the same feelings towards their lunch items. Their staff is fun and engaging. I enjoy the merch they sell, although they've sold out of their mini buttons. I hope they will get more stock soon. I love the feel of the space, especially their outside sitting area in the alley next to the shop. It has so much character. The bathroom is clean and always has the essentials (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).

Great little coffee shop, love the decor, very friendly staff. The food here is awesome as is the coffee. They support a great local bakery that employs people with special needs and have a great selection of other merch. Grab a bite to eat, get some coffee to go, and take some of their fresh roast home for later/
