River Road Coffee House

They know you and call you by name. They remember your favorite drinks, which are, by the way, absolutely delicious! Their smiles are so friendly. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting. The people who visit here are usually very friendly, and frequently will strike up a conversation with you. The food that is available there is made at local, sustainable bakeries (and is always fresh and delicious), and their coffee is purchased from sustainable farms and roasted/ground by the owners. Best coffee shop to which I've ever been.

I love river road. Such good coffee and staff. Granville and downtown Newark are the best. However, I can't give a 5 star because the 21st St location drive thru is HORRIBLE. I've waited for 30-45 minutes easy more than once but if I run inside it's 5 minutes tops. Choosing the drive thru is sometimes a necessity with an infant. I'd rather support local but I can't wait almost an hour for a coffee when the point of a drive thru is speed and convenience.

Never had a bad experience here. Staff is always friendly. The only complaint I ever expect from people is that the drive thru is such a long wait but that just goes to show how great the place is! Recommend a frozen Galaxy!

The best coffee hands down. We even buy the bagged to brew fresh for in the morning. If you're looking for coffee that isn't GMO, and is chemical free, and fair wage - without paying an arm and a leg- AND support a local business, you'd better be going here. And it's just good darn coffee.

Great variety on menu, reasonable price for flavored coffee, friendly staff. Black Forest large hot coffee, delicious & $4.75 & my dog got a free snack!

This place has amazing coffee. Probably one of the best coffee places. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops. The staff is friendly and I've never had a bad experience!

Love going to RRCH! Today was a basic house roast coffee. Well made, reasonably priced. One of my favorite spots to meet up with out of town friends, as I can virtually guarantee a pleasant experience. Today was no different. Nice and relaxed atmosphere, good place to catch up. Keep up the good work!

I really liked this coffee house. They have a large choice for breakfast and to drink. It is cheaper than other places I've been to and that was a pleasant surprise. The staff was very smiley and kind. Maybe I would have appreciated my hot tea in a mug rather than in paper but that wasn't really a problem.

Great coffee but i just sat in the drive through line for almost 30mins, pulled up to the order box and was not greeted for over 3 min so i pulled up to the window and no one was there so sat there for a few minutes and no one was there. The person in front of me had just drove off with a cup of coffee ?
I drove off after waiting well over 30 minutes total empty handed, It was not closing time either. I knew i should have just made some at home instead.
