Everytime I come here, the service is amazing. My food and drinks are always great! I love their bagels because they seem like real New York style bagels. Better than anywhere else in Kent!
The drinks are amazing and hand-crafted and the staff is friendly and fast. My favorite drinks are the Iced Chai Latte and Iced Vanilla Latte.

Coffee is comparable to Starbucks. I got a hot apple cider once and the dude gave me hot apple juice...it was awful. They do have a good food selection though as well as good seating to get work done. It's a great atmosphere to study or get coffee and pastries with someone. If you want a dialed and awesome espresso drink, there are definitely better places in Kent for that.

This is a local Kent coffee shop with a great personality. It is bold, modern but comfy inside Tree City Coffee & Pastry. The workers are bright smiled and are always courteous and willing to fix an order if it goes wrong. The food is very good, though a bit pricey, the taste is unparalleled in the area for a breakfast sandwich or pasty. Since it is very much a 'Kent-based' place, it is somewhat quirky like the town it is in. There are specials every month, things like butter-beer, pumpkin spice lattes, and that sort of thing. But often they are extremely unique and delicious. This is my favorite place to go downtown, and my favorite place for coffee. Skip Starbucks, come support your local businesses in Kent at Tree City.

This coffee shop is legit. The coffee is great. Their pasty selection was limited the day I came but I’m assuming they have a larger variety but I did have a scone and it was delicious. I just moved here and was looking for a good go-to coffee shop and this is definitely on that list!

It has been a while since I was here but I remember the coffee was good, the baked goods were not fresh and the customer service was awful. No reason to frequent this place as so many other great options exist in Kent.

We we t through the drive thru for the first time, and had a lot of questions and took a while to answer (with 4 kids and 2 adults ordering, it can be expected). But they never lost their cool, they remained patient and polite for the entire transaction. The coffee and treats were to die for.

Tree City is an excellent place for coffee and pastries. Pre-Covid, an even better place to study or work from. Tree City is warm and inviting, and the drinks and pastries are excellent. My only gripe is that they seem to be a little inconsistent as far as drink taste but that could very well be Covid related.
Edit: Updating after my last few trips. There’s still no menu up, customer service isn’t top notch and the drinks are still inconsistent. I order the same thing each time, and it’s never the same. Something has changed, because I frequented Tree City all through college and I never had a bad experience until this past year.

Really want to give this place a better review! 3 stars just because the employee was nice.. Got a vanilla latte and the espresso tasted so bad and sour and also got a cookie and it was super stale.

Best little coffee shop!!! Stopped in for coffee to walk around with and they were amazing!!!! Great atmosphere friendly service and the best espresso drinks. I can't wait to go back and try some breakfast items. Check out this local gem!!!

This is my favorite breakfast spot when I am in town. They are very quick and helpful. The coffee is really good and I usually buy a couple bags before I leave. It can get a little crowded when college is in but I usually get there before the college kids are awake anyway.
