Ghostlight Coffee (Midtown)

My favorite coffee shop in the dayton area. Best coffee (my opinion) some absolutely delicious food and treats. All of the staff are very friendly no one has ever been rude not to mention the cleanliness of the inside and grounds outside.

So Im an on duty emt. I went here a couple weeks ago and it was aweful but it close by my work so ifigured it was a one off thing and id give it another try. Went to get coffee, placed my order. Waited for literally every other person in line behind me to get their order before my drink came out. They gave me the wrong drink and it wasnt very good. Not to mention it was like $8. Not going back. If I wanted overpriced bad coffee from pretentious staff ill just go to Starbucks. Frankly one star is an exageration.

I wish I lived closer. My mom and I were passing through and recieved the best service we have had in a long time. The baristas were so personable which was a nice treat whilst traveling so far from home. If you want phenomenal coffee and a treat for your soul, please give them a shot. Pun intended.

The Yemeni toast is my new favorite brunch. It is vegan, but you can add an egg for extra protein if you want. Delicious either way.

Editing as of April 2nd 2021: This is the third time that their online ordering system has said that an order will be ready at a certain time, only to be a half hour late. It's not a good look when someone WHO REALLY WANTS TO LOVE this local coffee place is soured by bad service. Also this time my breakfast sandwich was cold, which makes me wonder if it was sitting somewhere and someone forgot about it.

This is now a pattern and they either need to figure out their online system and provide more realistic timeframes for service, or you'll just have to gamble and decide to show up ten minutes late and hope they haven't somehow gotten their act together and now your food is cold.

If you don’t like this place, I question your sanity. I wanted to cry when I drank my first coffee from here. Seriously amazing coffee. And the food...Oh my Jesus. Like ambrosia. I do not do reviews often. So know this is some seriously f*ing amazing food. They even gave my pet rat a whipped cream treat. Amazing. Do not miss out.

Good coffee, served quickly and had friendly staff. Lost a star for the mask policy. Not being difficult, but time to move past it, only place I've been in months that still had a mask sign up.

Love the new location! Great spot for me to sit before classes and get work done afterwards! Lots of space to work and plug in a laptop.

The food selection is INCREDIBLE for a coffee shop! Can't comment on the coffee, but the hot chocolate is straight 🔥!

The vibe was cozy, the people were friendly, the coffee was delicious, and the sandwich was incredible!
