I love this neighborhood coffee shop. It's a gathering place for work or friends, you can get things done on your laptop, or just enjoy the variety of coffee, teas, and food. The staff is pretty friendly and helpful and I believe you can bring your to-go coffee cup instead of taking a disposable one. I'm usually in there at least once a week - big fan.
A cozy, neighborhood coffee shop of the old school varietal, located in a proper, old storefront space, eschewing the bougie affectations of New Coffee while still being a full service establishment. Giant rugelachs. Rugelaches? Rugeslach? Who knows. Anyway. Good stuff
Relaxing and refreshing atmosphere. Seems like plenty of "regulars" come here and chat with each other, and the barista, which, to me, signals it's a nice place. As a first time visitor, it was nice to experience that friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Also, decent number of outlets if you are looking for a place to sip coffee and work on laptop or other electronic device.
The coffee was amazing and my cranberry/orange scone was fantastic. The staff was super nice. They seem to have a good variety of teas and flavors. Recommended!
Excellent combination of fast service and great product. I had the double cafe mocha and my wife had a vanilla latte and we both had our drinks by the time we were finished paying. Both were also very tasty.
Almost every morning before work I head in to get coffee at Civilization. I am first greeted outside by Bruce with a friendly conversation about the weather or traffic, then always greeted by name from Taylor or Nancy the owner. I worked at Starbucks for 7 years and I appreciate the individualized excellent customer service I receive each time. It's nice to be a "regular" somewhere. I love supporting this local coffee shop its definately worth it! It's always a great way to begin my morning especially after a long commute in traffic.
This is one of the best non chain coffee shops to visit. They have great coffee, good eats and great indoor and outdoor seating with nice atmosphere. Whenever winter ends I love coming here to eat outside and enjoy the new warm season.
