Best coffee in Cleveland/NEO. Sweeter Northern Italian roast. Owner is engaging and kind. Cafe is clean and comfortable. Love it.

Portal West is beautifully designed, with clean modern finishes that still provide the warm atmosphere I love in coffee shops. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in, made us feel welcome. The coffee was excellent, and prices were reasonable. I'm so glad the valley has a coffee shop now!

Portal West is exactly the type of coffee shop that the valley needed. The coffee is expertly selected and prepared by a knowledgeable and passionate staff. The vibe is relaxed and hip. Prices are super reasonable. Service is fast. You really couldn't ask for more, and I'll happily be back soon!

Delicious! They have a drink with espresso and vanilla ice cream! ….and it was absolutely outstanding.

Amazing coffee, roasted by the owner! Paul the owner really knows what he's doing and can tell you point you towards exactly what you're looking for (for example, he explained the Rawanda blend is better with cream-- which I like in my coffee). Additionally, the inside space is beautiful. I live 20 minutes away and have been here four times in the past week-- it's that good!

This is my new favorite coffee shop in Akron to get some work done. The atmosphere is calm but friendly. The music is great, it isn't too loud nor is it distracting. The temperature is also ideal, far too many shops are just slightly too cold but that isn't an issue here.

This is the coffee shop you've been waiting for! Brewed to perfection with an open heart and a welcoming smile. From a simple cup of coffee to artistic and delicious cafe mocha, every creation is an aromatic and taste treat! Paul and his amazing staff make every visit a warm embrace!

Hands down amazing coffee. Probably some of the best in town. Extremely friendly staff and a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. Will be back soon!

I love Portal West! The owner is great, the baristas are incredibly friendly, and the coffee is smooth and balanced. There is a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, but it does get busy at times (which is great for their business, I’m sure!). Very calm and relaxing environment. I’ve personally had some lattes and cortados; all have been spectacular. My husband enjoys the pour over options.
