Old Main Street Cafe

Ate here one evening with coworkers and immediately you can see that this place has been around for a while. The staff were the friendliest I ever met and the food is a great alternative to the fast food options around town. That said, the food is your typical grocery store bought items cooked home style and a little bland. I ordered one of the evening specials "Applewood smoked Pork Chops" and a Becks beer to wash it down. Locally they seem to be know for their famous Kneophla Soup. I was not sure of the flavor profile when I ordered it however, it is creamy white and has what seems to be dough balls inside. Tasty enough and I would return to try other menu options. Just no that when you go it is nothing more than older homestyle cooking. Thanks for reading.

Now here's a place I loved. Food was great, server very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was the real catcher. A very old building, which I love,old ND pics of surrounding towns. Lots of them! Just a great place. Highly recommend

The soup bar is excellent many options to choose from. Waitress was very accommodating. Or dinner entrees were cooked properly. The salad is lacking in additions to the lettuce, however, the homemade ranch is very good. The ice cream scoops were huge and the brand of ice cream was delicious

The service was excellent. Food was great. We had some special dietary needs. The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Good prices.

Very cute local cafe with tons of personality, quick and friendly service, and affordable prices. The menu has a large selection of cafe classics, including all day breakfast, soup and salad bar, sandwiches, burgers, and homemade pies.

Lettuce had rusty lettuce. Ish.

Always a great time, food great, love the soup bar, fast service. Still a five star I rated just because it is a great place and our family loves it. However the last visit we went there and everything went great until after we received our food, I am the type of person that tips according to if our drinks have been topped off or refilled or even asked to be refilled, but this time our waitress forgot about us and I guess to find out went home without telling anyone she had a table. So no refill and the worst part is we had to go ask for a to go tray and we also had to go and ask for our bill after waiting at our table for about 20 minutes after we were done eating.
I noticed that the owner was not there and his number 2 guy which usually is, so maybe this was the difference not sure, but still everything was very delicious just wish I got a refill on my drink but things happen and it is not like we never got our food, cause I have had that happen other places.

The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Patty melt was not up to my standards but tasted good. The chicken and dumpling soup was amazing
