Meating Ground Cafe

This spot is so cute! After going back for a second time weeks later, the owners seem to be just as passionate as the first time I went! Everyone there is eager to make the meal a good experience. The food is good too. The chicken in the chicken salad is a little overcooked (people do this a lot with chicken breasts, though). Still, I loved the flavors, and the cucumber side I had was delightful! To be totally honest, it might be a little overpriced for Winterville or for regular visits. The cost of their drinks are more like what I spend in Durham (the lavender lemonade in particular). However, it's understandable to have higher prices at a small business compared to your typical chains. I am still happy to make it a special occasion stop.

Good food over all, just wished they used real whipped cream on the waffle. That would of given it a better taste than the compressed can stuff they used.

Meating Ground is amazing! The vibe is so nice and the staff is always super friendly! The coffee is really good and the breakfast is delicious! My boyfriend and I love love love coming here! We cannot say enough good things about this place!

Food and drinks are absolutely amazing and the service is top tier!

I ordered the croissant ham, egg, cheese, with hash brown cheesy ball (?). The breakfast sandwich was very good but 3 eggs was too much for me. Perhaps offer a smaller one with 1 or 2 eggs for seniors. I also had a take out egg & sausage biscuit for my wife. She said it was good but a bit spicy, which is hard on her acid reflux condition. Very friendly couple, nice atmosphere.

Oh my goodness!!! Everything about this place was remarkable! My other half and I stopped in for coffee, ended up ordering breakfast as well. The avacado, fried egg on toast, salmon slices blew me away! Beyond delicious, I was saddened when there were no more bites left! 😋 definitely worth the visit and will visit again if in the area! Thanks!

Outstanding experience! Food is delicious, carefully prepared. Asian salad had a zillion finely choped components, tiny Ramin croutons and slivers of nuts, my my. The sause made the dish. "Grilled cheese" ha! 2 kinds of cheese, tomato and artisan bread( we held the bacon), best cheese sandwich ever. Sides where sweet or vinegar based, quite good. Super clean and bright dining room, friendly, knowledgable staff. These people really care about what they are doing. High end napkins, plastic cluterly, and biodegradable carryout containers. Very well done.

Great atmosphere, great food, and great service! The owners are super friendly and always welcoming! The menu is very creative, the lattes are beautifully garnished, and the experience is great every time I visit. Highly recommended!

Went there this morning!! Had really no complaints! My coffee was surprisingly really good considering that i ordered a hot drink when i usually go with iced coffees… I’m glad I tried it! The atmosphere was so chill and the place is so cozy and cute!!! Loved it! My only negative about this place is that they obviously don’t have/use a vent in the kitchen which makes the place look hazy and makes you smell horrible! Other than that it was definitely a wonderful place!!!

Ummm. I am ashamed I have slept on this restaurant. Great people and even better food. This is a perfect little cafe with great chef driven menu, coffee bar and beverages. Personable service and perfectly balanced food make this a go too spot for Greenville and Winterville
