Midtown is our go-to date night, Sunday lunch, dessert on a Friday evening spot! We have always had impeccable service and the menu will never leave you disappointed. Faves are sweet potato pancakes, Spicy Grit Bowl and chocolate chip cheesecake just to name a few.

Food was decent. Ordered shrimp and grits but I wasn’t thrilled, so I switched it to grilled cheese with fries. I may stop in again to try their deserts.

This place was amazing! Molly is hands down one of the best servers I've ever had. The atmosphere was very nice, (loved the subtle music playing in the background) and they have a very nice sized menu with plenty of options for adults and kids. Will definitely come back to try more food. The caramel latte tasted fantastic and the meatloaf was to die for. If you're in the area, check this place out.

I loved it here! Such a friendly environment. I wish I had taken the opportunity to snap more pictures because it was so clean, everybody was so kind and I was actually here for a meeting about suit fittings and they let me sit towards the back and have my measurements taken 😂 the shrimp and grits was to die for and I had more than just this one cup of the hot cocoa 😳 I'll be back to eat at this lovely spot as soon as I can. (ps: This experience was a few months ago. Just found the photos and have some free time to do lots of reviews to places I've eaten over the course of a few months)

The food was very vanilla! Cardboard probably has more flavor. The waitress was very nice and attentive, she was the best thing about the experience.

Great place and very busy. Places aren't busy when they aren't good, so that says a lot. I love all of the deserts they offer, but I have to go easy on the sugar.

It's worth going to if you are in the area or aren't, but are looking for something new.

I’m sorry to have to give them a 2 star because I was excited to visit here however the food was horrible! I ordered shrimp and grits it came out cold! Didn’t send it back because I felt they would reserve the same one! The service was ok! Something about the atmosphere was uncomfortable.

I found this place on a gluten free app we use. Both of my kids have Celiac Disease and can not eat gluten. This restaurant was reported to have a gluten free menu and safe preparation practices. The GF menu is quite good. We ordered a sandwich with a GF bun and my daughter ordered a burger with a GF bun. We were also there with a couple of other people. Our food came out and fortunately I noticed that my daughter’s bun looked very different from the sandwich bun. And it had sesame seeds on it. I haven’t ever seen a gluten-free bun with sesame seeds. I asked our waitress and she said “well I wrote GF on the ticket.” took the plate and walked away. She brought a new burger on a GF bun and just set it down and asked if we needed anything else. There was no apology or feeling of an understanding that this was a serious issue. Seemed to be just an inconvenience to her. If you have any kind of food allergy or sensitivity, I would think twice about eating here.

Walked in and was seated immediately. 2 servers walked by our table and we were never acknowledged while someone was seated after our party and was served right away. Very rude!

Always great food and service. Have visited the Midtown Cafe and Dessertery for years in their original location. Many options for special diets and range of food tastes
