The owner is always kind and helpful. The perfect place to go when your caffeine levels are in need of a pick me up.

Coffee is excellent.. I prefer not to stray too far from a classic coffee. The iced lattes are too sweet for my taste. Saturday mornings they play live music which is a nice addition to coffee dates. Great local spot with obvious return customers.

Overall general vibe of the establishment is pleasant. Coffee was was tasty, however, the person whom took our orders at the counter had little to no knowledge of the available drip coffees (flavor notes, aromas, etc.) Nice small selection of snacks. The granola bar and rice crispy treat were quite delicious.

Does not resemble a coffee shop from the outside, but inside is very different. Good atmosphere, purposeful decor, excellent and knowledgeable staff. They use flavoring and sweetening techniques that should be more common in the industry. Their method really helps for consistent flavor combinations that are not over-sweetened. My wife and I now have a new coffee stop in Wilmington, Highly recommend!

I’ve always found my experiences at Grinders to be above par, due in large part to the very capable leadership/ownership of Leah Jackson.

I’ve been searching Wilmington for great coffee since arriving from Australia and now I found my fave place .... GRINDERS CAFE!! AWESOME coffee! Friendly and cheery service. The best ever keto treats. Highly recommend this to coffee lovers!

The coffee was very good. The biggest problem though was when I was checking out the cashier rudely said it’s a five dollar minimum on a credit card. She than said “would you like to tip up.” There are also no signs posted stating that. I understand if a business has a five dollar minimum it was just very rude the way I was told and I was also told at the end once my coffee had been made because you pay after it’s made. I was not told before hand. Most likely would not return due to the rude attitude of the cashier.

Great place with lots of choices. Excellent staff. Prices are really good. Delicious options. Everything sounded good. I tried a couple frappes and a milkshake. Everything was delicious, but I really enjoyed the Mexican Mocha if I had to pick the best. Definitely coming back and would recommend this place.

Nice atmosphere for a strip mall. Appearance seems like it would be great. Then you experience the staff. I found the some of the staff gossiping while on duty, sarcastic and I had a feeling that I was not welcome unless I was spending my money. The coffee products were decent but WAY overpriced. Manager was being very rude to a young girl who was obviously new. She was very sweet to me afterwards despite the horrible way she was treated. Very unprofessional. I will not frequent Grinders simply because of the staff and the ridiculous prices for merely adequate quality.

Looks like a nice place but.. When you close at 9:00pm and someone walks in at 8:35pm looking for coffee but can’t get any because the staff are busy cleaning all the equipment and look at you in disgust like “why are you here?” so you leave… it turns into quite the disappointment.
