Cool place, Nasty coffee.
The location is very aesthetically pleasing and the employees were incredibly friendly along with a beautiful little spot for a morning pick up. This location uses a La Marzocco espresso machine so either the owner knows their stuff or simply knows how to look the part along with the expendable cash to afford one because the espresso I had tried tasted like licking skim milk off of a tire.

Sorry I always try to understand food service workers to the best of my ability as I’ve also worked in the industry and know how tedious it can be but good Lord this experience was just demeaning. Firstly I was told they had a power outage within the store and could only accept cash (had nothing on me - which is fine, I live down the street anyways). But whereas I could have gone to Starbucks I still made the second trip only to wait almost 45 minutes for a simple order. Workers avoided my gaze until I came up and directly asked about it after watching multiple people who came in after me get their more complicated orders. Come on guys? And the wifi doesn’t work either so I had to use my own data. The food and coffee was good but I prefer the short wait and spaciousness of the Dungannon Blvd location so I don’t think I’ll be returning here.

A reliable spot to work, or simply catch up with a friend! The coffee is delightfully prepared and the wait isn't too long. They have light breakfast options as well that are quite yummy, and they easily work around my allergy.

The staff is always so friendly and so welcoming! I love the space, but wish it was a bit more open.

Love this place! The staff is so nice and the coffee is amazing! The food and baked goods are out of this world as well. The seasonal coffees are always to die for and such fun inventive ideas. This is hands down the best coffee shop in Wilmington would HIGHLY recommend.

Absolute underwhelming wave if mediocrity. The mushroom tattoo's register clerk has the charming personality of a damp sock. The lack Lustre coffee reaches heights equivalent to that of folgers home brew. It's honestly discouraging to see the ethos that destroyed Seattle reach the backwoods small towns of NC. As NC adopts and embraces the atmosphere cultivated within this coffee shop the residents of NC will increasingly experience higher costs for sub adequate products as well as inept & vapid service. All in all this venue is the antithesis of a valued coffee shop. Nothing but corporate trash masquerading as a Instagram white woman tasteless trend.

Super friendly staff, i got an iced latte with caramel and vanilla, it wad so good. Not too sweet like places make it, and really hit the spot while out shopping in this heat.
My friend got s sunrise smoothie and loved it. Id recommend this cafe, and ill stop in again whenever I'm in Mayfaire again.

We went in around 11:30 am on Sunday, and this was the first time we've ever been in a Drift Coffee shop. I don't think we will be back. The girl at the register was very rude until I said it was our first time there (no one was in the shop at that point but even if it were busy you should be polite to your customers). The drinks were pretty standard (chai latte and a sunrise smoothie) and were good. Unfortunately, they clearly forgot our two to-go orders of banana toast completely and after remembering them and being in a hurry, they called out the wrong name and another customer put his hands into the box before realizing it wasn't his order and putting it back again. We asked them to remake the affected toast, and they were respectable about it (no apologies though). Once we eventually received the second order, both were hard as rocks and EXTREMELY bland. We threw them both away, and we gave up and went to a nearby brunch establishment to salvage our day. They only get the extra star for the decent drinks. The seating was also completely disgusting (fabric bench seating inside was absolutely stained with everything you could think of). There's a Starbucks across the street, and there are at least 8 other LOCAL brunch / breakfast / coffee places within half a mile, so I'd recommend visiting one of those.

First of all, the aesthetic of this place was just dope. So relaxing, bright, and beautiful. The staff was super friendly and didn’t mind taking the time to explain things we had questions about. All of our meals were delicious, and so were the smoothies and blue cloud latte (highly recommended this if you’re a matcha lover). I wish we had one local to us because I’d be here all the time!

When I ordered online at the Mayfaire location, I was not notified that my food and coffee would just be sitting outside behind the store. The website should tell you this when you order.

Other than that, the coffee is always delicious and my sandwich was good too!
