Drift Coffee Shop & Kitchen Mayfaire

My wife and I drove down from Raleigh on a day trip specifically to visit this place because we had it saved in our list of coffee shops. The place is really nice, bright, and clean inside. The service was decent, but the price was a little higher compared to other coffee shops of similar drink orders which can be common. They do not serve hazelnut, but my wife really enjoyed her hot vanilla latte though. I enjoyed my iced Chai Latte although it tasted a little watered down or a little more tasteless as soon as I got it, which wasn't a deal breaker because it was still good. Next time I'll try a hot version. Other than that we enjoyed our visit and plan to come by again when we come back down to visit the beach.

Quite little place with great atmosphere. Coffee is fantastic and had in house made elements like the syrup and foam. The pumpkin latte thing was fantastic! Not overly pumpkin flavored. Price is similar to what you'd see at Starbucks but better quality in my opinion. They have food too but I didn't try it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I told them what I wanted and they made a great suggestion. Overall I would definitely visit again!!

Lovely light-filled spot to chill. Employees are friendly and bright. :) The woman who took my order struck up a conversation and seemed genuinely interested. Flash cold brew with a bit of simple syrup was delicious. Decor is thoughtful and comfy. Eggs Benedict was superb!

I stopped here to work for a couple hours before heading to the airport. While it is small inside, the environment is so cozy and so friendly! The person who took my order was extremely nice, the coffee was great, and the small tables and free wifi made it a great spot to get some work done. If I'm ever back in Wilmington, I'd love to come back here.

They serve Ceremony beans so I know the coffee is good without having it. They make their own chai from whole spices and it was very authentic, creamy, and gently sweet. Will seek it out next time in town. Friendly service with a knowledgeable barista

We were there on October 3 and they were very kind with my husband and I. We told them it was the first time, and we were on vacation from Puerto Rico. We did not know any feedback about the place. What I can tell you about our feedback is that the coffee (extra shot) is great. We as PR drink strong coffee and it's very difficult to find strong coffee. We tried the Bodega Breakfeast Sandwich and it's great. The portion was normal. Not so big, not so small. It's a little bit spicy and taste great. Thanks the team for being so kind.

1st time visit for myself! My Wife surprised me with lunch today and was INCREDIBLE! As a weightlifter and healthy eating mindset, this was great chouce to stay on track with my macros. Food was fresh and all house made. Delicious. Go ahead and try this. Will most definitely help you feel inspired to eat healthy! I can't wait to go back!!

I drifted into this coffee shop after my Ford Lehman engine gave out on my single screw trawler. I was happy to find that not only was there a lot of driftwood in here that the coffee dripped very nicely into my cup. I was happy to find decaffeinated coffee here as the caffeinated versions often hurt my chest and loins. I shall return please wait for me.

Coffee is meh. Vigilant Hope roastery is the best in ILM. My go-to is dopio con Panna. They have no whipped cream?!?

Ordered egg, ham and cheese on grain as well as the chia cup. Taste was good for chia cup but the serving size was disappointing. I’d have at least added some more fresh berries to fill the cup. The bread overpowers the taste of the sandwich but if u remove a slice then it balances out the flavors better.
