The Coffee Shop

Hadn't been in there in over 2 years due to a previous bad experience but food was good & reasonably priced!!

I love going to the coffee shop to eat ,every one is so nice and friendly. And they always have a good menu to choose from or you can get their daily specials, both at good prices.great service, and the food is always good,.the coffee shop offers a person that home cooked meal with a very clean environment, and down home cozy feeling, I recommend every one should eat there,feel at home,see ya there.

The rating is based on two consecutive visits. Really good food, excellent service and friendly people. They cater to the older crowd and that's ok. Will definitely be back.

Fine if you like basic southern food. They do a lot of takeout which is good if you're looking to grab something to take on an outing. Friendly service.

I have a weakness for diners. It's true. There's something about that "salt-of-the-earth" honesty that I fall for every time. Maybe it's having watched Alice when I was a kid. Who knows.

Regardless, when a diner is an option - I'll opt for a diner.

So - on this special day, I lunched at The Coffee Shop (check out the history - it's pretty cool). sizes on the inside are diminutive - much like a 737-300. It's readily apparent when visiting the men's room that people in the mid-fifties were still human-sized. My 2XL self was having difficulties navigating the pathway to/from the toilets.

Another proclivity of mine is sitting at the bar - right behind the short-order cook. On this day, I had the pleasure of watching the action in real time.

I ordered a rib-eye medium rare, but soon learned they were out of ribeye so I changed it up to the river trout. I should have ordered the trout from the get-go. Absolutely fantastic. It came with O.K. fries (I didn't eat them). the trout was perfectly fried with no hint of oily taste. that means they change the oil out regularly.

The decor is honest and true to the locale.

Pies are delicious so maybe extra star for them. Food was awful, pork loin all fat and bone and.tough. potato salad tasted like used old mealy potatoes. Order the pie and take it with you.

We've enjoyed breakfast here twice and had great service and food both times🥰

No Masks worn by staff or customers. I threw my food in the garbage and went across the street to Cosmic Take Out. Owner was wearing a mask and food was 😋 delicious.

Service and food was great! My coffee never ran out and server was attentive. Will definitely come back

So good! Great food and we loved our waitress, Angie! She's wonderful at her job and looks like a angel when she smiles!
