I frequent coffee shops quite often, and as a visitor from out of town, we decided to stop in here to grab a drink! I enjoyed the aesthetic of the coffee shop...the long shelves lining the walls, plenty of great seating, and the cute gifty items they sell as well! I was disappointed in the price of the drinks...my "large", and much too sweet, iced mocha didn't look large it all. I would have chalked it up as a small or medium. When I pay $6 for a large coffee, I expect to get more than a few sips out of it. I also decided to get an apple strudel, which both my friend and I enjoyed!
The most disturbing part of our visit was the lack of hygiene by the employees. We decided to sit upstairs, and during our 30 minute visit, not once did the employees wash their hands after handling money or other drinks. They should at least wear plastic gloves. Too many people are getting sick from contamination...we probably won't be back because of this.

Incredible espresso, with freshly roasted beans. Andy, the owner, is an amazing, friendly guy, who always goes the extra mile to make customers feel at home. Definitely give this place a visit if you’re in the area

Cool coffee spot in Statesville in the heart of the downtown revitalization. Smart mayor for investing in sidewalks. Every other small town in NC needs to take a hint. People want walkability, a place to park, and a community experience...And the coffee is tops!!!

As a regular customer, me and my friends visit this new coffee shop frequently. However, after the encounter with the owner, we do not plan to give this establishment any of our business any longer. As every Statesville resident does on the weekends, we attended Sky Mountain for a drink. As we were outside of the building, we noticed a cat under a nearby car that seemed to be crying out of fear. We were worried that the owners of the car wouldn’t notice the cat underneath the vehicle and try to leave. With that in mind, we tried to chase the cat from underneath the tire. The owner came out and asked us in a demeaning manner, “what’s going on here? What are you guys doing?”. We explained to him what was going on and he took a look for himself. I had a piece of food in my hand hoping to lure the cat out a little further. The owner said to me “It’s not a dog. Cats aren’t like dogs. Just leave the food on the curb and leave it alone.” We explained again we wanted to move it from underneath the car, nothing more. He then said “don’t worry about it. Its just a cat.” He walked away and approached another friend of ours standing nearby. We stood there and hoped maybe the owners of the car would come back soon so we could explain the situation. He stopped the conversation with our other friend and said “I told you, don’t worry about it.” We got our stuff and began to leave. He never said anything more to us. We all discussed that his demeanor was very condescending and considering we are there every single day, our faces are very recognizable and we expected more from a local businessman who we often give our money to. We have decided that we will no longer be giving our money to this business until the owner decides to treat us like the valued customers he claims we are.

What a superb cup of coffee! My experience was great, the best customer service, friendly, personable, and professional. If you are staying in a nearby hotel ditch the national chain and find the best, it’s well worth the seven minute drive.

I want to like this place so badly, and Statesville needs a local roastery, but... The coffee is just average and doggone that barista on Friday nights just cannot be bothered to make you coffee. Please work on some friendly customer service. doing so just might make the coffee a little better.

Literally the smoothest and strongest coffee I have EVER had. I might even buy some of this coffee for at home. If you are going to spoil yourself with coffee, you can do no better than here. This coffee can wake the dead. ALSO- Their English Breakfast Tea is super relaxing !! The only gripe I have is the serving size of the Frappe at a mere 20oz. for LARGEST?!? Otherwise, zero complaints.

Everything inside is beautiful and the baristas are so nice! Upon their recommendation, we got their pumpkin flavor latte and it tasted like an actual piece of pumpkin pie was in the drink!
