Ended a weekend run here with a group of friends. We arrived around 10:15AM, and of course, there was a line at the door. Staff handed out food menus to the people in line, so we could be prepared to order once we were inside. We were happy to see that masks were required indoors.
The staff at the counter were courteous, patient, and offered suggestions when asked. Since we were there at peak hours, seating indoors and outdoors was limited, but we were able to find a place inside. I had a pumpkin honey oat milk latte and the garden veggie omelette, and I shared some mini donuts. Everything tasted great, and the menu was reasonably priced. Overall, a great experience. I would love to return during a less busy time and spend some quiet moments here.

Love this place to get a chai latte and get work done. It's a family owned coffee shop and the customer service is really good. I finally tried the chai with oat milk, a great decision. Be sure to try their mini donuts (cinnamon sugar are delish). Some mini donuts and a chai latte is a great pairing to have when getting work done.

Sola is incredible. Not only do they have great coffee and food (including fantastic healthy salads, sandwiches, and bowls for lunch), but they also have delicious mini donuts that we catered for our wedding! John and team were wonderful to work with - very flexible and responsive. Our guests keep telling us how much they loved the donuts instead of cake! We’d highly recommend and will keep visiting Sola whenever we’re in town.

Amazing shop with great seating inside and out, fresh food options, and a big gluten free menu

This is one of my favorite places to get coffee drinks and lunch in Raleigh! My husband goes so often, they usually know what he wants to order when he walks in. The owners are such wonderful people and it shows in their delicious menu. Don't miss out on the summer seasonal items! This place never disappoints, go support this local gem!

Sola is my favorite coffee shop in the Triangle. It has survived medieval-like pressure to play by the rules of mainstream and hipster coffee, saying "Here I stand. I can do no other." (That was a lame joke for the reformed types)
Here's the real reasons why you should answer "Sola-Alone" when asked what you believe is the best coffee in RDU—sorry, no more lame jokes:
Toast bar
Full menu
Mini doughnuts
Bottled and tap beer
Music on Friday nights
Best rewards program in the Triangle
There's a room you can reserve for groups
Reusable cups for water (Most shops aren't doing this unfortunately so it makes Sola stand out).
If I wanted Sola to improve, I would replace a couple of chairs and tables near the window wall to the right of the entrance with a comfortable Sofa. If they did this, they would probably be the only shop with a Sofa. #SolaSofa
Tip: The "I believe in Raleigh" mural in the back is a great place to take a photo.

Been coming to Sola since they opened. Ever since the pandemic it’s been a little weird with hours being drastically cut from I believe evenings around 6 to only 3 pm every day which is an inconvenience sometimes but completely understandable. My biggest complaint with the changes is how cash is handled as I’ve come in a few times over the last couple weeks and been told the cash drawer was already taken away when it was still 45 mins to closing. I guess they just recently started accepting cash at all given it was suspended as a form of payment during the worst of the pandemic. It just feels a bit unaccommodating but the coffee is good as always and the employees are always nice.

Hands down the best cafe I’ve ever been to. Their pour overs are, in particular, par excellence. Love this place with all my heart

A little slice of heaven on earth. Order the Graystone….it will be one of the best decisions you’ve made this week.
