M & M's

We ate here twice during our short time in Oriental. Both meals were very good and service was was friendly and efficient, even though they were short staffed. Will definitely return the next time we're in town.

Good selection, I would definitely go back.

Greeted by owner after we were seated. Then waited 15 minutes before we stopped a waitress so we could try to order. She grabbed our drink order and told us our waitress would be by. When asked about specials she said there was a lot of them. Not the response i was expecting. My wife had over heard the specials from another table. I got chicken and waffles. The waffles were very good but the chicken was 4 tender that were not anything special. Wife had lobster roll which she thought was good. Came with brussel sprouts that our waitress said were grilled, but they were boiled or steamed. Kids grilled cheese was ordered on wheat but was on white. Maybe all of this was the waitress. If we didn't wait, the order was entered correctly and the menu items described correctly I may have give 4 stars. Will trial again later this summer, and update if appropriate

Extensive menu and daily specials. Reasonable prices for the area (expensive). Amicable service was quick since the place was nearly empty. Coconut Shrimp was great.
Visited again in August, 6pm, slow service, even though the place was nearly empty. I had the daily special sea bass that the waitress told me was "fresh and delicious". I could not share her good opinion however, because the fish that I had tasted like rubberized catfish. The mango salsa tasted like neither mango nor salsa. The eggplant parmesan on the other side of the table was excellent.

We are local customers, and I brought family from out of town this past Saturday, 6/12/21. While we normally enjoy the food, the experience Saturday wasn’t up to par. The grouper bites were fishy, and 3 out of 7 of us ordered the flounder sandwich. We were very disappointed, and dubbed a new name of fish skin sandwich. The meat part was so thin, perhaps an 1/8”, that the skin curled it. I did ask the hostess to tell the owner “to put some fish on the fish sandwich”. Cmon man, we’re living in Eastern NC. M&M's is in my opinion one of the best places to eat at in Oriental! The staff is on point with their service and they always serve with a smile. The food is great and it was served hot, fresh & fast. The porch is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy dinner and a drink. You can't go wrong here folks. Inside is great too. It's a cozy friendly place to go and have a good time.

Absolutely Love this restaurant... food is Great . & always have specials everyday. Deserts are Unbelievably Great ...homemade Carrot cake is best I ever had... but the best part of M&M's is the manager & bartender Karen. & her Son Cory. Always a pleasure to see them both & they make my drinks exactly the way I like them. I will always visit M&M's .. p.s. the slow roasted rack of ribs are incredible...

Really wish there was an option for no stars at all! This was really terrible. We were party of 6. Took over an hour to get food. When it did come out, only part of the food came out, ten minutes passed before the last two ppl orders came out. Also, you would think that being a seaside town they would know how to cook fish . EVERYTHING was over cooked - the fish was so crispy that the meat was either dry or almost mushy! Lastly, there were so many flys around our table- disgusting! Recommend Mc Donald’s for a better fish sandwich!

Food was cold, crab cakes and hush puppies burnt. Server was not very good at all. Very disappointed. It was our dinner out for our vacation. Would not go back.

Stephen was our waiter, he was great! The food was fresh and wonderfully prepared.
