This restaurant is one of my all-time favorites. Friendly service and always a fun crowd. I can't sleeve this without giving a big thumbs up to there open-faced tuna fish sandwich served only during lunch. It is fresh and excellent. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.
Came for dinner with a group of people after boating and have never felt so unwelcomed. From the moment we stepped in, someone yelled at our group to close the door. Being the only African American in a obviously uninviting Caucasian restaurant( aside from one African American bus boy ) and group, I wanted to leave but decided to stay quiet for the group. After the hostess was done checking our temperatures we were escorted to our table where I was subjected to whispers, pictures and at one point infuriated stares by people in the restaurant including the server. I typically don’t write reviews but this is unacceptable and 2020. The only good thing about this place is the pecan pie. Will never be back!
Convenient, consistent and comfortable! I grew up with the restaurant under the original ownership (had friends that previously occupied the home even) and happy Dave and his great team keep the good vibes going! Check out Tuesday Music Trivia night, which is a tradition for decades!
The Good: I tried the corn crab chowda, chilli dogs, and on a second return the duck. The soup was thick, full of flavor and the perfect dish for a windy November day. The duck was seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection, by far one of the best restaurants in Oriental. The Bad: None that I could see or experienced. Overall - A great place for lunch or dinner with a semi good view of the bay. I would recommend to friends and would go back again.
Food was delicious and although service was a bit slow (they were quite busy), they were still attentive and highly enthusiastic. Food is flavorful and comes in quite a large portion. Price is appropriate for the aervice and food that you get. Certainly plan on going back on a Monday to try their sushi.
Ate here for dinner 2 nights out of the week I was in town for work. Both dinners I had were really good and my work colleagues said the same thing. It's our favorite restaurant to eat at when we are in town for work.
Very disappointed. Grandson wanted to milk, was told they ran out of milk yesterday ?? . Service was very slow. We were a group of 6 and everyone’s order was overcooked. Crunchy fish, nobody wants to eat that
Go to this place all the time, and yet my order is messed up just about every single time. I try to keep an open mind, and just deal with it in hopes that they’ll get my order right next time, but to my dismay apparently nobody really cares about the business and food they put out because it’s still the same issues every time. I don’t prefer any other restaurants in oriental, but seeing as how my orders keep getting messed up, I’m switching and finding a new restaurant that can get orders correct :)

Food is always great.
But the bar was full, no social distancing, no masks on employees or customers.
For some reason they were screening temperatures but then not practicing any safety measures.
A+ for food
F for common sense
