I have to mention our waitress by name because she was wonderful. I watched Morgan interacting with her tables in the most confident, knowledge manner(and she is a Pamlico County native so extra points for that🥰) i ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was a little overdone however the salad itself and croutons was phenomenal. Morgan took the chicken off our bill. We also had cheese curd app and crab/corn chowder both of which were great. Our other entree was a shrimp salad wrap, also yummy(forgot our takeout box😭). Waitress was patient and understanding with our 2 year old which is always appreciated. Would absolutely go back for the service we received. Thank you!!

One of the best places I've ever eaten. Super food and fantastic staff. Thank u so much Hanna for a wonderful experience. Looking forward to a return visit.

Extremely disappointing. Food was mediocre. Was charged 5$ for 4 small hush puppies as well, tried to call to see if they had made a mistake - my mother, a local, says they often unplug the phone when they don’t want to take call in orders. They weren’t busy when I picked our food up… but yet when I called to ask about the food, the phone had been unplugged. On top of that, I had to tip for the pleasure of getting hosed. They add a 10% tip to all pick up orders, but don’t warn about it as a heads up. Just dishonest service all around.

Second visit here, honestly probably won’t go back. The service is pretty terrible, between the long waits, no refills, mediocre attitude, I’d say we were very disappointed. The food is just bland, came out cold and the fries and bread were so stale. I feel as if this restaurant caters more to their bar patrons than anyone wanting a decent meal.

This place always has very consistent food with specials and decent eats. Love the dessert, always delicious, their food is good, and the setting is great to go to when you're visiting Oriental. They have screened in outdoor seating, a good selection of beers, a bar, and a good sized menu. If you've never been to Oriental before, absolutely check this place out.

Great restaurant with tasty local, homemade recipes. I had the speckled trout and it was outstanding-flaky, not fishy taste at all. Our waitress was Kendall- cute as can be and very attentive to our party of 4. We hope to be back!

Idk where to even start with this place. We went this past weekend with our family. First time staying in oriental and one of the only two places we could find open. When we arrived they warned us that it may take a while so we were understanding.

But the waitress didn’t bring all of our drinks, we had to remind her. When we ordered our food it did take a very long time but they would bring us out one dish at a time so we couldn’t actually eat as a family.

When my dish came out I had ordered the chicken pot pie. It tasted like canned chicken soup put in a pan. It only had a layer of the breading on the top and nothing inside like normal pot pies. And to top it off THEIR WAS PLASTIC IN MY FOOD. It could have been really dangerous if I managed to eat it because it was long. The waitress took the plate and walked away and said nothing. I had to ask to just get hush puppies because I didn’t want anything else anymore. A total different waitress apologized to us about the incident.

I’m all for understanding places having hard times during Covid but other tables got their food before us that arrived after us, plastic in our food and it took forever for them to bring our for simple dishes separately.

Great food,highly recommended,had a party of 5 and everyone said their food was excellent,service was great too!

We ate there last night..would not go back. The food was tasteless. I ordered lamb chops and salad. The chops had an off taste and were tough. The salad came out of a bag and the veggies were mushy. My husband had fish...over cooked. The water had a distinct chlorine taste. The waiter did not smile once. The young hostess was very nice and asked us several times if things were ok.
Just wasn’t up to expectations
