Swede’s Cafe

Y'all! This is SUCH a delightful, delicious, small town vibe. The General Store is on the bottom and Swede's is upstairs overlooking. The food is fantastic. Go and enjoy! You can thank me later.

Visited Morganton for the first time and had lunch here. What at great place. All the items we had were made fresh and were delicious. The pimento grilled cheese was the best ever and the handmade pimento cheese was outstanding. Highly Recommend

Delicious scones and breakfast sandwiches! Service was wonderful and made sure we enjoyed our food and coffee!

The establishment was easy to access,they were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had a breakfast bowl there. It was ok. They were stingy with cheese as in I couldn't find any in my breakfast bowl. Kind of pricey as well for what they give you.

We went in pretty late (after 6pm) as they close at 7, so daily soul and special not available. Only one type of scone left. However we all enjoyed our choices. My daughter got the Derick , .y husband got the breakfast sandwich made on french toast and I got the pork pork sandwich. I'd have liked a different bread,there may be choices that they didn't think to mention. Overall tasty. The scone was tasty as well.

Delightful stop! One of the few places open on Sunday as we were passing through. Wonderful food and kind people.

Recently visited Swede's for lunch. We found the place to be uncrowded and fairly clean. The young lady at the counter was pleasant and competent. We ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich on white bread... easy right??? Evidently not!! 30 minutes later still no sandwich. When it finally arrived the turkey was very cold and the cheese was a half a slice. Our fault I guess to not ask for a little mayonnaise. Very dry... nothing but meat and bread with that tiny piece of cheese. 10 dollars??? Never again!! Learned my lesson.

Warm and friendly greeting. Suggestions were amazingly good. The Milky Way latte and Beth's French toast sandwich were quick delicious. My husband tried the Honey Lavender Latte and Harvey's Melt, both very tasty! The ambience is relaxing and cozy. Overall a treasure located in the quaint town of Morganton NC.
