Food Matters Market And Cafe

It was a pleasure to find so many vegan options in a small town place. They have a great beer and wine selection, bulk food selection, and most importantly a great chocolate selection.

I recently moved to Morganton and am impressed with Food Matters. They have real local grass fed, grass finished beef. Most health food stores like Whole Foods sell grass fed, grain finished beef without telling you. Their range of food items (especially GF breads}, supplements, etc is amazing considering their size. Produce is seasonal and limited because they source locally.

Waaay overpriced but definitely good to know that I can find some specialty items without driving an hour. Staff was super awesome!

My wife and were extremely happy to hear we had a "Healthier" alternative to the normal grocery store experience moving to Morganton. However we have been disappointed in its implementation. Staff are very polite and willing to help but the store has a cold look and feel to it unlike the better Health Food Grocery Stores you find in Asheville area. Prices are high but I believe that's due to their effort providing healthier alternatives. Unfortunately, unless they do something to shake things up a bit I don't think they will last in the Morganton area.

Great store. Has many of the items found at a Whole Foods or Earth Fare. It's wonderful to have so many options this close. I love the idea of locally produced foods, too.

Wow. Wish we had one in Hickory. They're my new go to for organics and local food.

Good selection of great natural and healthy foods along with a wide variety of herbs and extracts. The prices can be pretty high but they have sales often.

I love popping into this small-sized market, which has great produce and products I enjoy each week and taking advantage of the senior discount, at the same time.

The staff is lovely, as well!
