Food Matters Market And Cafe

We stopped in to grab lunch after camping in Pisgah Nat'l Forest and hiking table rock in the morning. The deli sandwiches were great! They had gluten free and dairy free options available. We grabbed some snacks for the rest of the drive home as well. Very clean and well stocked, and the staff was extremely friendly. Everything we had was top quality. Will absolutely be back.

Terrible service. Cashier at deli counter is a complete incompetent. Got the order wrong. Then we had to wait another 30 min for what we ordered. Food quality below average. Will not eat there again!

We LOVE this place!! From the fresh meats, the fresh produce, the great selection of allergy friendly foods, homeopathic items, beer/wine selection & their easy to grab fresh meals. We've never been disappointed! I can't tell you how many times I haven't felt like cooking & would send my husband up the road to grab a fresh salad! The kids are always excited about the salads too, which is great. The staff there is always super warm & friendly!

Amazing clean food, and wellness store. You get what you pay for. A little on the expensive side but, not unreasonable. They have unique organic fresh vegetables and fruits to choose from, and Organic meats as well. If you love craft beer or wine they have plenty of options to choose from.

I have been shopping at Food Matters in Morganton for about a year and a half and just feel really thankful this store is here. Their fish and meats are the best you can get in this area and they can sometimes be at very reasonable prices. Better prices than the larger stores in a lot of cases. Everything is really good. The hand made sandwiches at the deli are great too. Wine selection and pricing is excellent. They also have a great beer and cider selection. Highly recommend this grocery store.

Excellent place for organic items and locally sourced products.

Great food options and prices...but I am extremely disappointed that there is no requirement to wear a mask/face covering. I was there and multiple people were just walking around inside with no masks on at all...just acting like we aren't in the middle of a COVID surge due to the MOST contagious strain to ever exist! I truly couldn't even believe it. Most had masks but there were two parties that didn't. I won't be returning for now.

I really hope the owners decide to put a mask policy in place to keep their customers safe...

Disappointed with the portion they give with the salad. I had the fish and thought would be more within the greens,but nope. My friend got the chicken,was small portions also. But do love the variety of beers they carry. Also tried a curry plate,not hot. Need to heat up in a microwave. It was spicy but delicious.
