Staff was very rude and made our whole group feel like we were a burden. Will not be going back to this place again. One of the worst experiences we have had in the 12 years coming here.

Good icecream, way overpriced though. Have some very unique flavors. Wife got Key Lime Pie which was tasty, I got Salted Caramel Pretzel. Daughter loved both

Ice cream was good. Prices were insane.. This kid just charged my wife $6.57 for one tiny scoop of ice cream topped with strawberries. My wife questioned the high price and the kid told her dont forget about the tax. Apparently ice cream has a 40% tax in NC

Highly overpriced and did NOT taste homemade. Tasted more icey than creamy. I have never paid almost $5 for ONE scope if ice cream and then another $1 for a very stale cone. Overall, not impressed at all....

Big Buck's is a cute "hole in the wall" homemade ice cream shop featuring candy displays and a variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. The ice cream was good but the space was limited making it hard for large groups to maneuver through. Other than that this was a good visit.

I should preface this with the fact that we didn’t actually get any ice cream. It’s June 2020. They have a COVID safety plan posted on their door but are absolutely not following it. The worker was not wearing a mask OR gloves. There were at least 8-9 people waiting inside when we got there, even though the sign says no more than 5 people occupancy max. No one was wearing a mask. Sorry...I’m not super paranoid, but that just seems like really careless business practice. Take care of yourselves and customers during a pandemic please, or at least act like you care.

A good amount of ice cream choices and extras you can put in at a decent price. They also have milkshakes, sundaes and candy items. The names are all straight forward, so no need to guess what they are, either!

Stopped in after dinner as we were in kitty hawk. Was in the mood for a milkshake. Wife ordered her and the kid one without looking. $8 $$$ for a simple milkshake!?!? Wasn't anything extra special or extra large. Three milkshakes costing just under $26, the place is appropriately named, because big bucks is what you'll be spending.
The donut ice cream sandwich at Donutz On a stick is better and an easily shareable portion.

I'm giving this a bad rating because I don't believe the ice cream is made there every day like they proclaim. I make my own ice cream and have worked in custard shops. The taste wasn't home made and the place didn't have the capacity to make 15 kinds of ice cream a day. It wasnt bad, I'm sure it rivals anything else you can get round OBX, but it's not home made.

ice cream was OK. I was handed a cup with my cone because the ice cream was melty directly from the freezer, so that was strange. I didn't ask for a cup that was how she served me so not sure if the freezer was acting up or if it's always that way. however my kids liked it so maybe just my luck lol.
