This place is so incredible! They hire crew members with different abilities to work as the welcoming staff and as the baristas! It's a very welcoming and loving atmosphere. Chris opened the door for me as I arrived and greeted me with a smile. I ordered a Hazelnut Iced Coffee and it was so tasty. The staff members are so friendly. It's a brand new establishment off Market St. in Greensboro and is SO beautiful inside. They have a selection of coffees, frappes, smoothies, and teas and many bakery items. They offer free WiFi and several seating areas. The grand opening is Nov. 3 so please make it a point to stop by and make it your new coffee establishment! You won't be disappointed. Support local business and this awesome team who are working to make the workplace accessible to EVERYONE!!!

My mocha frappuccino was yummalicious and the ginormous apple cinnamon muffin was the most delicious, Heavenly muffin I have ever eaten! An extra nice touch was being greeted at the door and being thanked as I left!
The best Customer service ever!

Friendly environment, good products, excellent service. We have been served with a ton of respect and that is really rare these days.
Totally recommend!

I don't know where I've been hiding all this time! I have been missing out for almost a year since they opened the doors November 2018. A Special Blend really takes the cake when it comes to community and great coffee. I stumbled upon this awesome cafe when I was visiting Mythos Grill recently. I saw the front which is right beside One Main Financial and asked me friends if this was a coffee shop... they didn't know but let me be one to tell you IT'S SO MUCH MORE!
A Special Blend provides employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I've worked with special needs adults and children so coming to an establishment which provides those individuals an opportunity to thrive and be a part of the community really holds a special place in my heart. They are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit so that means they rely on donations to help with their expenses. The whole place is comfy, welcoming and they even have a meeting area you can rent!
Everyone here is so nice! You really don't get to experience something like this everyday (well I guess you can if you become a regular) so if you haven't gotten a chance to stop by I highly recommend it. You won't be sorry! They have some of the sweetest folks working here and it's such a great feeling to know that something good is going on here.
I was doing some research and did you know that over 80% of people with developmental disabilities are unemployed? Places like A Special Blend hopes to change that by giving those people a chance to thrive.
Food wise I ordered a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel Sandwich. It really tasted wonderful. Drink wise I ordered a caramel frappe it was wonderful. If you've never gotten a chance to stop by I hope you will. It's a totally different environment than anything I've ever experienced before and I simply love it. I plan on frequenting this place as much as possible in the near future.

Everyone needs to visit this coffee shop! It’s coffee for a cause. They employ adults with disabilities (who are usually left unemployed in our society). Not only the coffee tastes good, they have a variety of yummy bakery. You are welcomed and inspired here! The music is not loud so it’s a great place to study and work!

I was traveling through the area and had ordered a drink using the Joe Coffee app, while waiting for it I received a text message that it was cancelled. When I asked a barista she informed me their system was down, but made my drink nonetheless. While a bit inconvenient and a longer wait than expected the service was great as was my cappuccino

Very upbeat, welcoming atmosphere, quick service, and a GREAT gluten free guava cupcake. Everyone was super pleasant and kind. This spot is very comfortable, and excellent if you want to sit and have a coffee with friends, or make some new ones!
