Horrible canned and/ jared EVERYTHING! Order the liver & onions and I got a plate full of congealed cold gravy. Sent it back and ordered country fried steak and it arrived in a wet puddle of white gravy that had obviously been watered down way too much. Tables were dirty and sticky. Will not return here

The place has had many business in it, one of which I worked for. I'm glad to see something last in this location, because God knows Franklinton needs it.

When first opening they had their issues, it's gotten better. So, I'd like to take the time to re-review this location. There is always a pleasant smile, and a warm booth waiting. Food has large proportions for a not so absorbent cost. Food is wonderfully prepared, (other than the mashed potatoes, I'm picky.. sue me) If I go it's for the breakfast.

Good food, prices and portions. Atmosphere is meh, but the main reason I won't rate higher is they don't serve breakfast all day. Every other local restaraunt in this diner-ish category does. We chose this one instead of Briggs in WF and Griffin's in YV for what was our breakfast on a Sunday at 12p, but had to order from the lunch/dinner menu. Big regret. Anyways, the food we got was good.

Best home cooking next to mom's seriously!! Small town vibe & great service too. Coating in shrimp is so lightly battered, best I've had in some seafood restaurants!!

Food was a beautiful lie. It looked really good but was void of all seasoning. Kitchen needs a complete overhaul. Southern cooking has to have flavor this food lacked that.

Great food and wonderful service!!! The grilled shrimp was amazing. The pork BBQ is totally different but the flavor is awesome!!! We love Hometown Cafe!!!

Nice mom and pop place with local feel! Servings are generous, food was hot and not too salty! Booths and tables! Wheelchairs walkers and such are no problem!

Great food friendly staff. Every thing I have tried on the menu has been delicious definitely my new favorite local place to eat.

Food was decent but cold when they brought it out. Then had to wait 30 minutes for a sandwich to-go. No one waited on us when we were the only customers and there were 3 waitresses and when we walked in 6 tables were still dirty and remained so until after we began eating. Worst service I've ever received. Never going back.
