This place is just “0k”. The food is ok, it is home cooking but not like Grandma. The owner is rude and acts like he doesn’t care that you’re coming in to spend your money. They were busy and understaffed and he got really ugly when we asked for our table to be wiped down a little better. This was the man that owns the place. He may be sorry as busy as this little town has become, when someone else decides to open up, serve better food and care about customer service. Definitely won’t be back, or recommend.

Place was great. To all these haters in the comments and your poor reviews…. Y’all boring and lame. Good o’ country cooking. Y’all coming from Raleigh wanting $100 treatment for $10. Hahaha 🤣

Placed order to go came back sat in to go pick up seat. 30 minutes pass by not once asked by staff if waiting on order. After I went to counter to inquire was informed ticket was never sent to kitchen, and it would be a few more minutes for my food. Finally received my food and upon inspecting it I found chicken livers and not the liver and onions I ordered. Used to love to eat here but it looks like cousin Garland your staff has lost you yet another customer.

This is a wonderful Mom and Pop place that serves country cooking. The portions are good sized and the taste is phenomenal. They have a daily special and the food is delicious. The sides are plentiful for choices and the price is perfect. The service was excellent and the wait staff was super friendly.

Hometown says it all. Not fancy, just really, really good. Delicious, generous portions of home-cooked food made to order, served with a side of Southern hospitality, and at a reasonable price. The fried chicken, fried catfish, chicken livers, and hamburger steak with onions and gravy are outstanding. Chicken and dumplings and beef liver & onions are at the top of the list for our next trip. The hand breaded, made to order onion rings are the best. They offer a variety of excellent sides and the desserts are fantastic, too. Reminds me of some of my grandmother's cooking. The only thing we don't like about this place is that we didn't find it sooner.

Don’t bother. I live in Franklinton my hometown and use to eat there every Sunday until after this Sunday. They don’t know different between corn and cabbage. Go elsewhere I will be for now own. Even if I drive further away from home. You spend 21.24 every Sunday you expect better. Left one star no option for one star.

Came here after working outside in the cold all morning. Everything was wonderful! Our server was amazing. Super friendly and very attentive to our needs. The food was fantastic with a real home cooked taste. I had the chicken and dumplings with cucumber salad and green beans. Next time I'm in town this is where you'll find me.

Went for the first time today and probably won't be going back. I got the grilled shrimp to go and the shrimp were the smallest things I have ever seen(about 12 of them) they were so gross tasted like they had been frozen for years it just left a very bad taste in my mouth. I got the Mac and cheese expecting home made but it seem more like boxed. It took around 20 min to get my order to go. I just won't be going back and that's a shame I was looking forward to a new place to eat
