Food is great, tastes fresh. Price is fair and most of the staff seemed super nice.. was a young girl working the register who was borderline rude and seemed to not want to be there.. other than that it was a 100% positive experience. Terrific food!

I have been here several times and the service is always quick and friendly. The food is good home cooking: nothing fancy but well cooked and very reasonable prices. I always enjoy eating here!

Great home cooked food!

I'm not sure why this place has such a high rating but it really is disgusting, for and cleanliness. I've tried this place 4 different times and evey, I mean EVEY time the food was heated in the microwave from being precooked or leftover from the day before. It ws never busy when I went in and it took way too long to get even our drinks and we always sat at dirty tables. They do save the food from the day before and pre-cook the food for the day. This is no joke I asked. Watch Chef Ramsay's hell kitchen and that is this place. I could only imagine what grossness is in that kitchen. As a person that ran a 2 1/2 million dollar profitable restaurant for years I can't help wonder why this place is still open. Poor Franklinton residents have no options is my guess....

Garland and company has got a good thing going, we eat at this restaurant many times a week and food is always great !
Just remember this is a Hometown Cafe and you get hometown service.

My husband likes it so I go. Food is sub par... it looks like home cooked but it’s not. Don’t ask for breakfast after 11am on a a Sunday. They don’t understand the concept of Sunday Brunch. 😒

Ordered the philly cheesesteak and fries. Coming from the NJ/PA area it's very hard to find a place in NC that does them right. Hometown did a fantastic job and the wait staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Prices are great as well. Would definitely reccomended stopping in if you are in the area.

This place is awesome. Good prices, good southern cooking, nice people. Had the fried chicken livers! Great...you can't get those many places. Highly recommend

I have been to Hometown Cafe a couple of times for breakfast. My family and I are moving to Franklinton over the summer and we love that Hometown Cafe is in the neighborhood. The food is great, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is very friendly. We plan to go to Hometown Cafe often and I would recommend it to anyone who is passing through Franklinton.
