City Grille

Called, placed our order, arrived to pickup, there was a pickup lane, saw 2 cars parked in that lane, we parked in front of the restaurant in a parking spot, called, they said our food will be ready in 5 minutes, we went inside to pickup our food and did not have to wait when we went inside to pickup our food. We saw someone else outside waiting for us which was also parked in the pickup lane or line. Food was good.

Overall, a solid 4. I've ate here before but really wanted something different today and just home style. The atmosphere is that of a country restaurant and that was good. Tables were clean and the restaurant was clean. The service was par but it seemed like they were short staffed. Can't really fault the restaurant however because of the current state of the country. Once we ordered, the food arrived quickly. Surprised a little because the menu is large. There is a Greek flair and that is nice. Food came out hot and overall was good. Some improvements could be made but I will go back. Fried squash were absolutely delicious.

Delicious food, huge portions, very friendly staff and quick service

Took my 2 grandsons to eat there. Been there several times before. Food is large variety and good. Our waitress was amazing. Friendly, attentive and polite. When we got ready to leave I needed to go trays. We were so full. Then when I asked for a to go cup...It was a problem. They was gonna charge 50 cents🫢 So I asked the man at the register and he says the same cause if he gives me a cup he will have to give everyone in here a cup..Really you buy in BULK and I just paid for 4 meals about $72.00. Wow! I was out done. But, I know you make choices where you eat and this may be our last. Plenty of other spots to eat who will gladly give you a takeout cup!!

Big portions for great prices. We'll definitely be back.

We ordered 2 specials. The fried steak and homemade hush puppies were good. I did not finish the collards. The other meal was eggplant Parm. Eggplant had a sour taste. Sauce looked like a can of diced tomatoes was dumped on top. The garlic bread was a long roll with butter and spices heated but not toasted. The only thing they could eat was the bread. This person saw good reviews for this restaurant.

The food is very good, the portions are large, the service is good.

The food was delicious and the service was even better. The fried calamari and ribs were perfect! I believe our waitresses name was Kay, her daughter also works there. Kay was so kind, attentive, and friendly. Best dining experience I’ve had since moving to North Carolina, I will definitely go back!

We have eaten there twice this week during our visit to Elizabeth City. The food is plentiful, taste great and served hot! Service is great and prices very reasonable. Today, Nicole was very attentive. Definitely a go-to place to eat when hungry. On the way out, the cheesecake looked too good to pass up, so we got two to go. Delicious!

Terrible service. We didn’t even get to order our food because the waitress was so discombobulated by having 2 tables of 6 alone. The manager was no help either. He couldn’t have cared less about how we were being forgotten. We ended up leaving and going to apple bees
