Duck's Cottage

Immediately upon entry, you can smell coffee. (Yes, even with your mask on.)
Their fully stocked and equipped espresso bar will please even the most Seattle-y of Seattle-ites --I should know, I am one.
The books selection is not huge like at those huge retailers, but that is a true book- lover's dream because every selection is lovingly curated by the knowledgeable and friendly staff.
If you love books and -really- good coffee, do not hesitate to stop here.
I loved the little spots outside to stand and enjoy the jasmine while drinking your coffee and eating a snack with a friend you haven't seen in a long time.
A true gem. Cannot wait to go back.

Really cute and I love walking there every morning!! They have a little area for dogs to hang out and I just love looking at the books and things whilst in line!

I've always enjoyed this little shop and its efficient, friendly service during previous visits to the area. This time I had been having a tough couple of days and stopped in for a coffee before heading out for a drive, and not only did I feel welcomed, I felt very safe and comfortable. There is clear signage requiring masks, clear distance markings on the floor, and the staff is clearly used to pointing out the changes they've made to allow for space. Your efforts in these crazy times are noticed and appreciated!

My wifes favorite coffee shop on our visit to Duck and her favorite coffee was the Nutty Duck. We visited Duck Cottage twice during our stay. It's a great little coffee shop and bookstore. I had the Mucky Duck both times. It's a really great coffee drink. But I'm not the coffee lover that she is. I had a terrific blueberry crumble from Duck Cottage as well.

We'll be back to Duck Cottage everytime we visit OBX!

They have good coffee! I didn't feel like the people working there were friendly! Nice place to sit outside to relax, read a book enjoy your coffee!

Great little coffee shop and book store !!

Very small gift shop/ mostly bookstore but great coffee. I buy my whole bean from here and the 12 North is my favorite. Not sure who their roaster is but their products are great. My wife love the coconut crunch - decaf as she was pregnant and now breastfeeding.

Great coffee, delicious latte. Staff knows what they are doing when they use their espresso machine. Friendly to talk to. Cute little book shop nice porch to hang out on. Prices are pretty average considering its good coffee and a touristy spot. Will go here again.

We travel to Duck once a year for a family vacation…this is our first stop every morning for a great cup of coffee or specialty coffee drink. Without a doubt a real treasure and highly recommend for their great coffee and atmosphere!!!

Great coffee! They are still overly strict with their social distancing guidelines... not a major inconvenience, but some may not like it. If you see a line outside, don't be discouraged... it moves fast.
